It's rounding into that as we speak. Thanks guys. Still would love to know if we have a true top 10 Defense.

Just wait until Rankins gets his feet underneath him. Opposing QBs will really be an endangered species. Here’s how i personally know we have a good defense:
I’m not scared to death they’re going to do something stupid. I’m excited to see what the D can do. Get sacks, turnovers or forcing a 3 and out. They’re fun to watch now! Watching Davis outwitting QBs prior to the snap and Jordan and Davenport beasting is a lot of fun. Honestly it is probably the most fun I’ve had watching a Saints defense since I was a kid
So true and idiotic isn’t it? Last time I checked, it’s the points that determine the winner and loser in football, not yardage lol. I can see the yardage argument tho, defenses are supposed to stop the offense. If you give up a ton of yards, your defense is Swiss cheese. But points on the other hand are what matter in the end. Idk, I can go on and on but typing in a phone sucksThe problem with defensive rankings is they just look at one statistic, total yards. It doesn't take take aways, points scored by the defense, sacks, & 4th down stops, & 3rd down conversion percentage into account. A QB ratingis based on everything. A defense is judged by the mass media on one thing. And it isn't even points allowed.
Geez! This defense is playing lights out. We are on pace for over 50 Sacks on the year, over 20 turnovers. This is better than our Superbowl year, I believe. Man, we gotta give it up to this unit. I don't know what our rank is though. We've got to be a top 10 defense this year. For so long, it's been the offense. And, our offense ain't bad this year, and will get better with the return of Brees, but it's the defense and Special Teams that are impressing me. Dennis Allen and his staff have done an incredible job, especially since we now have the personnel he needed to run his defense. Remember, we had been drafting for Ryan's system. I'm so impressed. Geaux Saints
Besides Dallas, our PPG we give up is also pretty "bad" because we were in a shootout with Houston, came apart vs the Rams, and let Seattle and Houston get garbage scores on us. Dallas is the only game we've held an opponent to less than 20 points so far.So true and idiotic isn’t it? No. He has one other weakness. When we have Drew, he tends to blitz at the wrong times. He hasn't been doing that with TB in the game.Right now statistically we are middle of the pack on both Defense and Offense.
I think our defense ranking is due to giving up huge drives at the very end of games while playing prevent defense.
If we could stop doing that, we'd probably win games by much larger margins.
I will never be a fan of the prevent to close out games defense that Allen likes to run. It's really his only weakness as a DC.
I agree with you on all points, but I would add, we may bet better before Drew comes back also...I think Bridgewater has shown surprising poise in the pocket..and he was mature enough to realize, if you cannot get rid of the ball, even taking a sack is not the worst thing...I mean, if you get a roll on a punt, it gets erased, and if you don't, much better than a turnover...He takes what the D gives...and he seems to be embracing a little more of the playbook each week, expanding slowly. Personally, I hope they work Humphrey into the equation at some point...he could be the magic that takes us over the top....and I know, wishful thinking at this point...but he looks like the guy I have been waiting on on the other side...no disrespect to Ginn, Smith, or anybody else....I just see things in this kid...but Bridge is doing a great job...and how about maolcom brown!!, nice add. let it roll!!!Geez! It's called Prevent Defense. What it prevents is winning,
If they just don't give up those 2 garbage time scores to TB and Seat, their PPG avg drops from 23.2 PPG to 20.4 PPG.Besides Dallas, our PPG we give up is also pretty "bad" because we were in a shootout with Houston, came apart vs the Rams, and let Seattle and Houston get garbage scores on us.
