2010 NFL Power Rankings: Week 14 ESPN (1 Viewer)

Last night was a perfect example of a power spanking. :hihi:

The Bucs' next three opponents have a combined four victories in the past six weeks. (Sando) :covri:

That's one reason why I think you guys playoff destiny very well could come down to having to beat Tampa in the final game...

steelers and ravens ahead of us

ravens have a worse record and im pretty sure we took it to the steelers in the dome

i wonder what the analysts have to say about that?

Yeah I'm scratching my head on that one. Oh well... we get the Rams this week, then BMore. We'll have our chance to prove it.

Oh and no way are the Falcons better than the Pats. Not even on one of Brady's worse games ever.

As a Falcons fan, I wouldn't rank us ahead of them. That should be switched. Tom Brady is going to be MVP for a reason. The rest of that team is above average, but he's a surgeon out there. If we are fortunate enough to get to the SB, I actually hope it's against them, because I'd like the challenge, win or lose.

Tampa in the dome with them down their best CB, Safety, and starting Center plus numerous other injuries after we've already blown them out once in their house when they had all those guys?

Consider it done.

But they are in the mighty AFC. Don't you get it? It doesn't matter that we skull drug the Steelers who just beat the Ravens. AFC AFC AFC!!!

True enough. Hard to argue that they've matured alot during the course of the season and probably will play a better game than they did back then. They have that RB to contend with this time around. He's pretty good. It would be an interesting matchup if it comes down to that.

Them being two games back is going to make it tough for that game to be relevant for the Bucs.

We'd have to completely hit the skids the next three games to make that an elimination game, and even then tiebreakers might go in our favor. I haven't looked it up.

LOL. It's going to be great when Brady passes him in career QB rating.

Brady's already passed Manning at everything else. Nothing has changed. Why do you think the love fest will change when Brady passes Manning's career QB rating?

Maybe, but considering they've lost their best corner, their center, and safety to season-ending injuries, as well as some other key players being injured, and they play Washington (road - eh), Detroit (home - gives teams fits), Seattle (home - fighting for playoffs), and New Orleans (road - fighting for playoffs) - at the end of the season - it's not as easy as you think for a decent team like the Bucs. Just saying.

Tell me this isn't pathetic, even with the Falcons being 10-2, #1 team in the NFC, they still have not seen their stadium fill past 68,474...:smilielol:

I've been thinking, if the road to the Superbowl does go through Atlanta, no worries. What becomes of the Georgia Dome when the Saints play there? Basically, it becomes the Superdome.

What I find hypocritical is that Mike Sando thought it was unfair that the Saints were ranked ahead of the Falcons two months after the Falcons beat the Saints in overtime by 3 points. That same Mike Sando and others continue to vote the Steelers who lost by 10 points to the Saints ahead of them.

Another reason why rankings do not matter. And, no, rankings should not be based solely on record or head-to-head matchups. But if that is the rationale that is given, then that is the rationale that should be followed even when it does not convenience the analyst(s) who posited that sort of reasoning as the basis for his or her rankings.
