2010 Non-experts Mock Draft: 7th Round The Lions (Mr. Irrelevant) are On the Clock (2 Viewers)

So... this concludes the Cowboys draft! Let's take a look back at what has taken place, shall we?

1) Charles Brown OT - before Flozell's trade: i knew he needed a replacement anyway now i look smart!
2) Nate Allen S - BIG need for the Boys
3) Sean Lee ILB/OLB - Keith Brookin's rocking chair is awaiting him..and Lee will be awaiting the starting lineup!
4) Dezmon Briscoe WR - Roy Williams Time is almost up.. Time for the Austin / Briscoe show! With a hint of Crayton (ALL YOUNGSTERS! SCARY!)
5) Jerome Murphy CB - Stud CB depth now for the Boys... whew! good ST returner too
6) Charles Scott RB - Power back anyone?
6) Earl Mitchell DT - Depth behind Ratliff @ NT
7) Ramone Harewood OG/OT - More depth at Guard on the o-line but this guy can play G + T!

An outstanding draft imo! I think any Cowboys fan would drool at the mouth and scream, "CHAMPIONCHIP!"

However, i had to part ways with a couple people to get some picks...let's look!

:1st trade:
Cowboys get: 2nd (37) + 5th Skins get: 2nd (59) + Tashard Choice
I basically moved up 22 spots in the 2nd round and inherited a 5th round spot for Tashard Choice. Now...i think this trade has a 0% chance of happening! This trade was also made before the Redskins backfield became stacked to what it is now! I think the Boys will keep all 3 backs this year and possibly release Marion next year or trade cheap. BUT!! i think the return value for who is the Boys 3rd string RB here was too much to turn down!!!!
:Results:
2nd (37): Nate Allen S --> I wanted Taylor Mays to fall after i slected Charles Brown n made this trade but he didn't slip past the vikings i think. However, Nate Allen is a good pick here! The S is a need for the Boys (this being said before Hamlin was released)
5th: Jerome Murphy CB --> Wow...this guys was rated as a 3rd round talent...and he slips to the 5th?!? Some even have him in the late 2nd!! So the return value here was extremely high! He is ALSO a safety prospect being one of the hardest hitting CBs in the draft and weighin over 200 lbs (still runnin a ~4.5 40)

Trade Grade: A+

::2nd trade::
Cowboys trade 4th and S Allen Ball to dolphins for 4th and 6th
I basically moved up 14 spots in the 4th round and received a 6th for Alan Ball S.
Now!!! Alan ball was Hamlin's replacement and was drafted in the 7th round 1-2 years ago (maybe?)...and did an outstanding job last season in place of Hamlin! BUT! I did not predict the Boys cutting Hamlin in place of Ball this offseason >< HOWEVER!! There's still our 3rd string S left in that spot, another Hamlin who was a standout in College a few years back, and the additions of Nate Allen and Jerome Murphy will provide enough depth.
::Results::
4th: Dezmon Briscoe WR --> he has recently climbed the ladder to being (in some mocks) a top 64 pick! He is a tremendous player, and while Roy Williams is not panning out, Mr. Briscoe surely will in time. So he is def a great pickup here! And...in bewteen my old pick and the new one.. 2 WRs were taken, so this coulda been a great steal for me!
6th: Charles Scott RB --> After trading away Tashard, i knew i wanted to land another RB.. but round by round, no steals were availbile... then in the 6th, with my 1st 6th pick. I went in the direction of RB Charles Scott! This guy is a pounder!!! LSU baby!!!!! And he is def fast too, i love this pick! I see the future of the Boys being a 2-back system after Marion is gone with Felix jones + Charles Scott here and being just fine!

Trade Grade: B+/A-

Overal Draft Grade: A

Typical Cowboys to over inflate something and brag about it...

Guess ill join in on the bragging.

1) Bryan Bulaga: Albert needs to move inside after giving up 9 sacks, bulaga is a mean SOB In run blocking and does extremely well pass blocking.

2) Cam Thomas NT: Day 1 starter, will help take pressure off of Jackson and Dorsey and the ILBS.

3) Ricky Sapp DE/OLB. Somebody is needed across Tamba Hali

4) Jamar Chaney ILB: Big fast strong and mean, can really lead a defense, I love him in this spot.

5) ReShad Jones FS/SS: Can play both safeties, and should help improve an already young secondary.

6) Andre Roberts WR: Perfect Slot guy, runs crisp routes and makes the tough catch

7) Anthony McCoy TE: has some issues, but hopefully he can be a safety valve

8) Jeff Byers C: Should battles Rudy Niswanger for the C spot, or provide depth at G/C

9) Donavan Warren CB: Wont start and will be eased in slowly. Should be a good piece of depth behind Flowers and Carr

10) Sean Canfield QB: huge project, should've selected Crompton. Hopefully Weis can do something with him.

11) Stephen Williams WR Toledo: Huge and consistent with deceptive speed, i think he's a jewel.

I give this draft a B+ or A-

Aww man Dallas took My Pick. i actually saw this guy play in Georgia once. oh well My Pick is coming in 10...9...8...

The San Deago Chargers Pick Sean Lissemore DL 6" 3" 297 lbs William and Mary 4.82 40 time.

Here's my recap. I kinda think I went with guys I knew from watching them play for the most part. Some may seem like a reach but I think they fit the Chargers needs and I am very familiar with them. Three times i had a pick and the guy was taken just before me twice. Let's see

RD 1 Ryan Matthews RB.....wanted him all along. No LT No Problem

RD 2 Mike Neal DE... Hard choice at the time but I believe in this guy. hey he's from Purdue

RD 3 Lamar Houston DT.....Solid guy in the threnches and he's from Texas

RD 4 Marcus Easly WR.... this guy is Colston on a rocket

RD 5 Clay Harbor.... FB/TE.... although ranked any where from #8 the the teens as a TE Some considered him the #1 Fullback if he had made the switch official. We will use him there very very Often

RD 6 Chis Scott OG... My Choice here was Brien Schofield but He was snapped up the pick before. That hurt. But St Reggie picked a great guy in my absence. I had to attend to a crisis. He made the pick and its a good one.

Rd 7 Sean Lissemore ... DT William and Mary this guy is the fastest DT in the draft. He is a little light but has a quickness and speed that can make him a situational pass rusher from the interior, and he can switch to DE. has better run stopping skills on the outside..obvious huh?

Titans have had a pretty solid draft in my opinion:

1. Derrick Morgan - Defensive End - Gives the Titans a solid DE, that they really haven't had since the days of Jevon Kearse.

2. no second round pick

3. Traded Lendale White to the Eagles for a 3rd round pick:

3A. Perrish Cox - CB - Was known as one of the premier shutdown corners of the Big 12. I expect him to come in and make plays for a Titans secondary that needs playmakers.

3B. Jacoby Ford - WR - A smaller WR that has elite speed, and has excellent hands, and is very durable. The Titans WR's cept for Kenny Britt are really nothing to write home about and needs playmakers, to take some pressure off of Chris Johnson. I expect Ford to be my kickoff and punt returner as well.

3C. Anthony Dixon - RB - He is Lendale White without the attitude. He is a durable back that I feel will be a steal for some lucky team in the 3rd round. He can be an every down back if god forbids something happens to Chris Johnson.

4. A.J. Edds - LB - He is a very smart instinctive player, that seems to be always around the football, and is a very sound tackler. He has a chance to be a starter for many years in the NFL.

5. Jevan Snead - QB - If he can get the mental part of the NFL he can be a quarterback that can become elite. Has the Arm, and can make the NFL throws, just needs to figure out the mental part of his game.

6. Harry Coleman - S - I don't know if he will be a starter in the NFL, but he has the toughness to be a Rodney Harrison type safety who will lay you out if you come across the middle on him. He will be a demon on special teams, and could be elite on special teams in the role of headhunter on the special teams units.

7A. John Estes - C - The Titans have a need on the offensive line. I needed a Center and he was the best available, so I took him

I still have one pick left. I have a feeling he will be an offensive type player. Hope he falls for me, as I love the kids potential, and feel this late in the draft he can be the Titans Marques Colston.

I anticipate not picking until tomorrow, but I will check back periodically before midnight-ish to see if my turn has come up.

I think I have a great value pick lined up and ready to go, unless the Chargers snipe my guy. If they do, Zygi Wilf may have to send his friends to San Diego to fit their gm with concrete shoes... (not serious)

Bills Draft

1 - OT Trent Williams (projected top 8-15)
2 - NT Terrence Cody (projected 1st-2nd round)
3 - QB Colt McCoy (now being projected 1st-2nd round)
4 - DE Austin Lane (projected 3rd)
5 - OLB Rennie Curran (projected 4th)
5 - SS TJ Ward (projected 3rd-4th round)
6 - WR Joe Webb (projected 4th-5th round)
7 - RB James Starks (projected 4th-5th round)
7 - TE Garrett Graham (projected 4th-5th round)

I would give this draft an "A" based on the fact that every last one of my picks are rated higher than where I got them (except for Cody, which is exacty whre he is projected in the early 2nd round).

Lamar Houston is flying up the charts as we speak. He would be a steal in the 3rd round. He could go as one of the first players taken in the 2nd round.

Love Matthews. PERFECT fit for the Chargers.

I would give your draft a "B-" only because of the super long reach of drafting Neal in the 2nd.

I love a lot of these players. Grade of "B", mainly because you're missing a 2nd round pick, which is not your fault.

I obviously haven't seen everyone's draft, but this one will be tough to beat. I'd give it an A. And you know you would too, quit with the modest b.s. :hihi:. J/k man, great draft though.
