2010 Non-experts Mock Draft: 7th Round The Lions (Mr. Irrelevant) are On the Clock (2 Viewers)

With their 2nd compensatory pick in the 7th round, the Indianapolis Colts select

Adrian Tracy, OLB, William & Mary

With their 7th round compensatory pick, the Seattle Seahawks select

Shelley Smith, OG, Colorado State
Offensive line is something I wanted to get more of earlier, but there just aren't enough early picks for all of Seattle's needs. Smith had a 6th round grade on him so to get him in the 7th as a compensatory pick, I'm pretty pleased.
Intangibles: Veteran of 31 starts was looked to as one of the leaders on the offense. Ankle injury that caused him to miss first part of 2009 should not be an issue. Plays hard every snap, willing to protect and back up teammates on the field.

Pass blocking: Strong initial contact, able to anchor against most tackles.

Downfield: Very good mobility, able to head 25-30 yards downfield to block. Plays with enough nastiness to plant a defensive back or linebacker into the turf and stay on them.

This concludes the Seahawks draft:
1. Jimmy Clausen, QB Notre Dame
1. Anthony Davis, OT Rutgers
2. Kareem Jackson, CB Alabama
4. Ben Tate, RB Aurburn
4. Lindsey Witten, DE UConn
5. Ed Dickson, TE Oregon
6. Darrell Stuckey, S Kansas
7. Antonio Brown, WR Central Michigan
7. Shelley Smith, OG Colorado State

1st round:
6. Jimmy Clausen, QB Notre Dame
-A lot of people either love him or hate him. I personally love him and think he will be a great QB. The draft started before the Seahawks sold their soul to the devil for Charlie Whithurst, but I'm still happy with this pick. I was even trying to trade up with the Bucs (but they traded up to the first pick) because I didn't think he would make it past Washington

14. Anthony Davis, OT Rutgers
Left tackle was a pretty big need for Seattle, and I was glad to be able to pick up Davis here. I think he'll be a fine pro portecting Clausen's blind side for a ling time.

2nd Round
40. Kareem Jackson, CB Alabama
I kind of made a mistake here. I was looking at the Experts draft board and saw they already picked McCourty so I thought he was gone on our board but he wasn't. Although it was a mistake, I'm still glad to pick Jackson. If this were real life, I would pick Jackson over McCourty because I think he will be a better pro, but for the sake of mock draft/value, McCourty might have been the better pick

4th Round
105. Ben Tate, RB Aurburn
Ben is a player that can really add a lot of things to Seattle's offense. He runs well, catches well, blocks well, and could be a big time contributer. Him and Juluis Jones together could be a good 1-2 punch

122. Lindsey Witten, DE UConn
Witten had a really porductive careerr at UConn, including 11.5 sacks his senior year. Seattle is in need of a pass rusher, and hopefully Witten can fill that role.

5th Round
Ed Dickson, TE Oregon
Tight end wasn't a big need at all for Seattle, but Dickson was a really good value here and I could not pass him up. Him and Carlson would make a really good TE duo.

6th Round
Darrell Stuckey, S Kansas
This was my homerun pick right here. Stuckey to me is a 3 round player, that I was able to pick up in the 6th. He has all the great measurable and production from his days at Kansas. Great pick here.

7th Round
215. Antonio Brown, WR Central Michigan
WR is a position that I wanted to take earlier, but the value never really added up to what was available. I didn't want to reach on a player for need. But Brown is a good pick up in the 6th for me. He put up big numbers at CMU and can be expected to contribute in the pros.

247. Shelley Smith, OG Colorado St.
Offensive line is something I wanted to get more of earlier, but there just aren't enough early picks for all of Seattle's needs. Smith had a 6th round grade on him so to get him in the 7th as a compensatory pick, I'm pretty pleased.

Overall I'd give myself a B-. I didn't get to draft some positions as early as I'd like, but I think I got pretty good value on all of my players. I would have really like to get more depth on the D-line, and missed out on DT completely. Feel free to critiqute and rip apart. Thank you and drive home safely.

I would rate your draft an A-.

All your draft picks from the 4th round on down are better projected than what you got them at. And your first 2 rounds are rock solid.

Patriots select WR David Gettis Baylor

6'3 217 lbs 4.39 40

I can honestly say that I would cry tears of joy if that was our draft this season, kudos to whoever was the Saints GM on an excellent draft. I am hoping to join next year's mock draft.

There was no GM.

The SR faithful voted on each and every player.

I did put the options up there to select, but they voted on it.

They did a great job.

With their 7th round compensatory pick, the Oakland Raiders select

Mike Kafka, QB, Northwestern

That concluded the Panthers Draft!

1)--None-- Traded to 49'ers
2) Greg Hardy DE (Replacement for Peppers)
3) Jordan Shipley WR (Possibly Steve Smith's replacment once he loses a step, if possible) Also just more WR depth which is needed
4) Donald Butler ILB/OLB (Now the Panthers have probably the deepest MLB core in the world with Beason/Connors/Butler but thats not good with 2 on the bench, thats why i think Butler can play OLB with his speed and skill set. He's BIG too! Very good fit imo
5) Jarett Brown QB (My fav pick..and steal! Talented QB who will wait until Matt Moore fails, and will learn the system till then...then DOMINATE)
6) Simoni Lawrence OLB (His potnecial is too high to pass up on here in the 6th! With his size and SPEED he could be a great fit! The Panthers LB core now is SOLID for years to come even with Beason gone... Butler/Connors/Lawrence NICE!
6) Nate Collins DT (Cant bare to see Hollis Thomas start another year...he may not have enough gas in the tank to finish the season, Collins is rated a 5th so hes a steal here at the 6th comp picks)
7) Jeremy Horne WR (With M. Muhammad not possibly returning and D Jar not producing up to his hype... Shipley and Horne may get more time in here than people think! People know Shipley well, but possibly not this guy. TALL AND FAST! Thats what i look for in my WRs if im making a team, and this guy has decent hands on top of that.

NOTE: I adtoped the Panties draft with their 3rd pick... i dunno who picked Hardy..he's good.. but i think there may have been better DEs on the board, i dunno ><
