2023 offseason: WR Tet McMillan said its hard for him to watch film and doesn’t watch film by himself

I don't know about you, but when I read other people's replies to other posters, I like when they split up the quotes to reply to each individual thing the replyee said. It makes it easier for me to follow the discussion that way. That's why I reply the way I do.

Zero of my nerves were struck.

It was part of the discussion. It seems you take discussions here personally. I don't. Maybe that's why you misunderstand what I actually say?

I agree.

Some have made snap judgements that go beyond just stating it was something that could be a concern. You haven't, but others have.
I’m going to be 100%, the quote part was a complete joke, guess that didn’t come over well. no shade thrown I’ve done in the past and can appreciate direct responses to what portion of a post is being replied to.

I didn’t take anything personally. However if someone responds to a post I made and uses the words “some say” or something to that affect, and doesn’t call out that they’re just adding it for context and it’s not for me, yes I’m going to naturally assume that was meant for me. Doesn’t mean I’m taking anything personal. This discussion is around a potential WR being drafted at pick #9 lol it shouldn’t affect anyone personally.

There's not a WR in this class that does not need to improve on some aspects of their game. Tet give us what we need the most in the WR room a big contested catch guy that can go get the ball. Yes he needs to work on his initial separation but we have Keith Williams as our WR coach , one of the best in the game.
It's a toss-up between Tet and Graham if both are there , but if it's between Tet, Jeanty and Warren , it's easily Tet for me
Tet doesn’t really show definite pro team WR1.
He’s tall but doesn’t jump high and isn’t dominating with his height. He won’t outrun pro DBs that often. He currently doesn’t have the best separation skills. His 34” vertical at 6’4/6’5 is concerning when compared to verticals of shorter NFC South CB1s, 6’1 Jaycee Horn’s 41½", 6’1 AJ Terrell’s 34½", and 6’1 Jamel Dean’s 41”. Opposing pro DBs have just as much chance to breakup Tet’s targets in traffic. He doesn’t have an athletic advantage on pro DBs. Jumpball catches isn’t a dependable skillset more than winning routes 1v1, especially since he isn’t outjumping anyone.

He’s a volume possession WR in most games which is effective but is it top 10 pick level and is it different than what this draft’s other top WR prospects can provide at min. Would Tet project to outproduce Olave and Shaheed if all 3 are healthy most of the season? Tet could be insurance for Olave’s long term outlook. But is Tet an equivalent long term replacement of a hypothetical-concussionless version of Olave, at the 9th pick. Olave is a top 5 elite route runner in the league. Tet feasts against average competition. But he has quiet to average production in other games against better CB1s/teams. It feels like he’s been overhyped due to his size on paper while he doesn’t play as a big physical WR in games. There isn’t really a WR prospect in this draft who’s really 9th pick worthy, maybe not even definite top 20. Tet doesn’t appear to be a better or equal prospect as Olave was in ‘22. Nabers and BTJ as prospects last year blow Tet and this year’s prospects out of the water by a lot.

I didn't think you had thrown shade. Others have sincerely complained about my quoting style in the past. I didn't think they would listen to my explanation, so I didn't bother. I thought you would listen, so that's why I explained.

We don't all speak the same so miscommunication is easy. We have different meanings of "some say" which seems to have caused a miscommunication. I sincerely wasn't referring to you when I said some have said he said things he didn't.

Glad you're not taking it personally, because I don't mean anything personally. I make an effort to be as WYSIWYG as I can be, but miscommunications still happen.

🤜🤛

Is he committed to his craft? Maybe he has grown, maybe. The other things is, his knock seems to be that he creates no separation and is not the most efficient route runner. Not at #9.
