2023 offseason: WR Tet McMillan said its hard for him to watch film and doesn’t watch film by himself

Rewatching that, it sounds like maybe Tet was annoyed by the guy talking to him and was giving him short answers that weren’t genuine. Almost purposely egging him on.

I mean, it’s a guy eating and a random YouTuber posted this, and the camera angle looks “suspect,” as if the phone is hidden from Tet’s view.
Pacifying the guy hoping he gets the hint

Not sold on him as the best receiver at all. I’d take Graham, Jeanty, Tyler Warren and a few others before him if I had the option.

There's not a WR in this class that does not need to improve on some aspects of their game. Tet give us what we need the most in the WR room a big contested catch guy that can go get the ball. Yes he needs to work on his initial separation but we have Keith Williams as our WR coach , one of the best in the game.
It's a toss-up between Tet and Graham if both are there , but if it's between Tet, Jeanty and Warren , it's easily Tet for me

Omg Draftee in gives honest answer shocker.,..

Personally I like it when a top draftee doesn’t have a media consultant on the payroll and doesn’t give Miss Universe contestant answers.

Would love to have seen Kenny Stabler go through the modern draft process 🤣

This is a big misconception. He actually made a living running slants. He wasn’t a “go up and get the ball” kind of guy and actually didn’t have much success against contested catches even against lesser talented defenses.

This draft is weak in superb talent, especially at WR and an above average talent is being represented as a Calvin Johnson in the media because of how lacking it is in superb talent at WR.

There simply is no exceptional WR’s in this draft. The best pass catcher is a TE one of the few guys in this draft who has really good success against contested catches but also runs like Taysom Hill when he gets the ball in his hands.

We can do that. I like TEs who can catch. Was a huge Graham fan until he went for superstar pay and turned into alligator arms

This. This is not a great WR draft. There are a few guys who could be high WR2s and maybe a couple low WR1s. Amon Ra St. Brown is Detroit's WR1 and he plays the slot. That might be where Tet ends up starting until he develops into a X.

Anything I’ve said he said was direct quoted word for word. He could also be dead serious and not sarcastic at all, is that not possible?
I said to you that some are saying he said things he didn't say and I didn't say "including you." I was not referring to you when I said "some."

Of course it's possible he was being fully sincere. That's why I said it seems to me that he was being. Only he knows what exactly he was thinking when he said what he said and only he knows what his motivation was to say it.

So bc it’s 1.5-2 years ago means it should be ignored?
Red herring strawman, because nothing I said was anything close to saying it should be ignored. There's a whole lot of reactions that fall between ignoring and overreacting. It's not quantum or binary.

It doesn't matter if fans ignore it or not. I think some people are clearly overreacting, excluding you, just to be clear.

Your snap judgement based upon assumptions that he was being sarcastic and simply aggravated with the person he was speaking...
There's "swing and a miss" and there's "swinging at ghost pitches." I did not make any snaps judgements. I said he seemed to be sarcastic to me, but I didn't assume that he was or wasn't. You're hearing things I didn't actually say.

...to therefore he didn’t really mean what he said isn’t based in any fact just personal opinion.
You once again heard things I didn't actually say. I never said it was a fact the he was being sarcastic. I said it seemed to me he was. Me using the word "seems" clearly shows that I'm aware that him seeming that way to me doesn't make it a fact.

4 quotes to a single reply, oof must have struck a nerve. If you didn’t include me when you said “some are saying” then why put that in the reply to me? lol The only fact is that he said what he said, no misquotes or lost in translation. Is this by itself a huge deal? In the grand scheme of things probably not. But it’s an additional thing to give scouts to keep in mind especially since there’s already a narrative (by some not saying it’s consensus) that he takes plays off. If Saints draft him at 9, it’s due to the time they spent talking with him/research done and have no issues. Doesn’t mean people are making snap judgments bringing it up as an issue that could be a concern.

He has a contested catch rate of over 50% That is quite high . I have seen no one compare Tet to Johnson, it's always been Evans or London

Yeah I’ve seen tons of Drake London and the first time I saw the Evans one was on this board.

I don't know about you, but when I read other people's replies to other posters, I like when they split up the quotes to reply to each individual thing the replyee said. It makes it easier for me to follow the discussion that way. That's why I reply the way I do.

Zero of my nerves were struck.

If you didn’t include me when you said “some are saying” then why put that in the reply to me?
It was part of the discussion. It seems you take discussions here personally. I don't. Maybe that's why you misunderstand what I actually say?

I agree.

Some have made snap judgements that go beyond just stating it was something that could be a concern. You haven't, but others have.
