DA and PC were wet fart of coaching. That’s what got him hurt. Tell yourself whatever makes you warm and fuzzy. Bowers is a special player. Fuaga might be a good RT or RG. He’s not going to add enough needle movement this year to make us an offense that scores more than 20 a game. That’s the goal. We went wide right. It’s fine. I hope he’s our new Ram. But even a young Ram don’t get us in the playoffs. We could have spent all other 50 picks we had on oline and traded up for Bowers. That moves the needle.

Here’s my point on this. If you have a strong OLine, your running backs all of a sudden have bigger holes to run through. Your QB has that much more time to read a defense and get the ball off. Your OL is by far the most important part of your offense.

Contenders have butt tons of weapons, stud TE, and an opportunistic defense.

Unless you have a Mahomes. You kind of need to have some sort of game breaking weapon on offense.

Granted... Enabling Derek Carr to pass more might not directly lead to success or the avenue to make this team Elite.
