Yes and no. The first 5-6 games will definitely by difficult. However, we are tied for the easiest schedule, with Atlanta, this year. And sure, it’s based off last year’s opponent, but week 6-17 looks as easy as it gets. If we had the old gang back together, we would all predict a 12+ winning season!

I know! There is just a feeling among the fanbase, obviously myself included, that this year is going to be a very down year.

Not me. Pete Carmichael was holding the offense back, and now we've finally fixed that and hired some of the best OL coaches in the business and are installing an offense that should be good. I've got cautious hope. At this point, if you're down on DA, it's a choice. I'm not down nor up, I'm at neutral until the season happens.

Personally, I am optimistic that the change in O.C. can make the offense better, however I am kind of in "We are what we are" mode when it comes to the overall product D.A. has fielded thus far.

I believe it is more likely than not that we remain in the 8-9/9-8 abyss, and I think high-water mark wise, 10-7 and a tough fought first round exit is about the ceiling for this team, but I'd obviously love to be dead wrong.

Fair enough. Yet, empty seats, booing the Saints at home, lagging ticket sales is a good chunk of the fan base.

Eight months versus 35 years as a fan is a small snippet of time for down time.
