It's been feeling that way to me for a couple of years. When we kept DA and Pete I figured they just didn't want to bring in another coaching staff for a rebuild. But then they continued to kick the cap can and bring in guys like they were trying to keep the window open when it had already closed. I honestly don't know what to make of the whole thing. I sense there may be a little bit of an echo chamber going on there.

I can help you with a better reason. He's really not that polished and getting inorganically pushed up the draft rankings. Doesn't have great footwork or mobility to extend plays or throw on the run. Doesn't play against elite competition. Takes more sacks than he should. Pocket presence isn't the greatest.

He's not a day one starter, but he's probably top 3 QB prospect for this year
