NFL 2025 salary cap expected to be 5-10 million higher than previous estimates (merged) (3 Viewers)

This is huge for us, should have us 41-46 million over the cap instead of the 51 currently estimated.

Spotrac has us $61m over with a cap estimate of $275m, so we should still be about $55m over.

I was looking at the full cap hit instead of the top-51, we should be in the $46m-$49m range with the change.

Thank goodness. It doesn't seem like much but that could keep us from having to restructure a player which will make 2026 cap that much cleaner. We may be getting out of this mess quicker than we planned, boys!! And girls!!

Spotrac already has the cap at almost $278m and with us $51.2m over the cap. If it went to $281m it would lower it to around $48m.

Overthecap just switched the number all the way to $281m and has us at $47.2m over.

That $47m-$48m range looks to be the best case scenario.

Last I looked at Spotrac it looked like their estimate was 272 million, they seem to have went up to 275 right now.

So yeah we are looking at 3-8 million less than the 51 million they show us as now.

If you go into manage roster and look at the financial summary on the right side and do the math, it shows what the number is.

Saints top 51 - Amount Over = Cap Number
$329,132,986 - $51,203,813 = $277,929,173

If it goes up to $281.5m, we'd be looking at $47,632,986

Still much better than it was, but we're not getting down to $43m over the cap from the cap increase.
