What's the record for rushing yards allowed by the Saints?

The Rams held the Seahawks to -7 in 1979. Interestingly, Jim Zorn was also 2 of 17 for 25 yards passing. They had ONE first down the entire game and never crossed the fifty.

I don't know the record, but I am pretty sure the Saints held Emmitt Smith and the Cowboys to something like six yards once.

Also keep in mind that 16 of those are on the QB scrambling after a broken play. 4 of those yards are handed off to WR's. Their running backs netted 6 yards for the game.

Yep remember that one. Was the best thing that happened
Under ditka.

LB Chris Bordano was a monster in that game. I know i still have that game on VHS actually. And Del Homme had a good enough showing to warrant getting the nod when Haslett refused to play him over an injured Aaron Brooks a couple years later when we lost the last 4 games and missed the playoffs.

The 1979 Rams defense was amazing. They were a 9-7 team cause their offense was horrible on the other side of the ball.

They were the first team ever to use a dime formation. They did it against Dallas and completely confused them in that playoff game.

I think many people into NFL history often have a soft spot for that team. They went back and forth with Pittsburgh in that SB and had a slim lead going into the 4th quarter. They picked Bradshaw off 3 times and almost have a 4th INT that would've been a walk off pick six. They ran out of gas in the end after the bomb to Lynn Swann that greatly swung all the momentum in Pittsburgh favor. QB Ferragamo also collapsed under pressure with the game on the line in the 4th.

Reading that reminded me for the Texans/Steelers game from 2002 where the Texans only had 47 total yards of offense... and WON. Our very own Coach Glenn had 2 pick-sixes that game.
