Every year (for the most part) you have 5 new teams that make the playoffs (last year it was 3), so obviously you will also have 5 teams who won't make the playoffs who did play in them last year. My question to the board is, who are the 5 teams in, and who are the 5 teams out?

Out
Washington Redskins
Houston Texans
KC Chiefs
Denver Broncos
Cincy Bengals

In
New Orleans Saints
Miami Dolphins
Baltimore Ravens
Indianapolis Colts
Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders

Playoff teams in 2015 were:

(AFC)
Broncos -IN
Patriots- IN
Steelers- IN (get #5 seed as Wild Card)
Bengals- IN (Win AFC North)
Chiefs - OUT (Jets in as #6 Wild Card)
Texans- OUT (Jaguars win AFC South)

(NFC)
Panthers - IN (Saints win NFC South; Panthers get #5 seed)
Cardinals - IN
Seahawks - IN
Vikings - OUT (Packers win NFC North)

This season will be fun to watch, especially since the Saints make a huge turnaround! :munch: :ezbill:

With Geno? And Cincinatti will not win the north, Cowboys are NFC East.

Read it again. I'm saying that the Packers are in... and win the NFC North, vice Wild Card as they did in 2015.

:gosaints:

You said Cowboys would be 6th seed. If they are in they would be fourth seed or third winning division. Cincinatti is AFC North.

Saints in, panthers out. That's all that matters!

I left the Saints out but this could well happen. Im on the wait and see. Carolina wont be that good this year. They might still be better than us and win the division but even in our best years we didnt win the division 3 straight times. Its hard to think Carolina will do it again. That was a sign of how bad this division really was.

This team is the definition of inconsistent. 2006 we are good, 2007 and 2008 not so much. 2009 great, 2010 good, 2011 great, 2012 scrap it, 2013 we are decent, 2014 and 2015 not good at all. 4 playoff spots in 10 years is better than alot of teams but it makes it hard to gauge what the team will do. You would think being awful for 2 straight years that have to be alot better this year.
