Does anyone know if we have officially got this pick yet it will come in handy ??!

Something seemed very shady about the way his season ended on I.R. It wouldn't surprise me if he barely missed whatever threshold it was that would have given us the pick.

i thought that the other day. he finished with 529 rushing yards and 66 receiving yards for a total of 595. i wouldnt be surprised if the pick had something to do with 600 yards rushing or total or something like that.

i dont think we know the "official" draft order (all picks) until end of feb/beginning of march though. so it could be a little while before we know for sure.

I have sent that same question to Underhill several times and he has not answered. When AP went to IR, I had the same feeling, but that he had to be active X amount of games and they IR'd him to prevent that.

Looks like good news on this front:

MOBILE, Ala. — The New Orleans Saints will get the sixth-round pick they received when they traded running back Adrian Peterson to the Arizona Cardinals, according to general manager Mickey Loomis.

We'll take it.

For those that can't use Twitter, here is a better link stating that the Saints will get a 6th from Arizona:

We have 8 picks this year, which is more than I can remember having in a long time, so I expect to see the Saints making some moves with the extra picks. However, as good as they've been lately at picking, it may be better to keep all of the picks.

Don’t expect a draft like last year. Last year they had 6 picks in the first three rounds. This year they only have 2. It works out to a 1st, 3rd, 4th, 2 5ths, 2 6ths, and a 7nth.

8 picks, but most are from the 5th round on. Might get a few role players or special teamers, but an impact starter in those rounds is highly unlikely.

The ammo to move up in the draft is more important than the picks themselves. I don’t think they expect to keep 2 5ths, 2 6ths and a 7th on the roster.

Yeah, I would not expect us to make 8 selections. I would guess the extra 5th and 6th will be used to move up a few spots maybe in the 3rd or 4th if we see someone that is slipping.
