Yeah I know many are complaining about not making the playoffs despite the so called easy schedule the Saints had this season and rightfully so. But let’s assume the Saints had lost their last two games and finished 7-10 again. What good would that have done? I mean the word was Allen was returning no matter what happened in those last two games. So maybe I’m in the minority here but finishing 9-8 feels so much better than 7-10 and no matter what anyone says we finished the season as WINNERS! I’ll worry about next season when it comes time to.

Other than enjoying 2 more wins and being able to claim we finished above .500, it’s probably worse. Neither record represents a championship organization. They're really a lot alike except 7-10 gets you a better draft position. We’re just a part of this NFL glut of mediocrity.

This. 9-8 versus 7-10 is like partly sunny versus partly cloudy.

We would have had a higher draft pick to squander on another project, or maybe a solid building block for the future if it was high enough. Idk. I have lost all belief that this FO will make any correct decision at this point
