So, I will be getting an award at this Horror Festival in BR and I need to know the name of a good hotel in Baton Rouge. Not too pricey as I'm trying to get 4 nights, but not a dump either. Hopefully close to the Rave Theater where the festival will be. Any suggestions?

I don't about Hotels, but my cousin Billy Bob is a huge horror film fan and said you could stay at his house for a few days...or forever, at no charge. He's even willing to provide the 'entertainment'.

Cell phones don't work out there and there's no neighbors anywhere around to hear your screams...of joy.

Here's a picture of the place.

He does live with 90 year old mother. But she tends to herself. Come to mention it, I haven't seen her in a few months. I'm sure it's fine.

Let me know!

It seems safe enough. Those houses were built to last and you can never get rooms that big in newer housing. I hope it's cool if I bring a few friends along.....oh and one guy has a dog. Are pets cool?

Cell phones are such a distraction in this day and age. It's nice to get away periodically. Just get back to me about parking. I don't see a garage and I don't want anything to happen to the new paint on my van. It's mostly blue with green and orange. I am sure you'll dig it.

There's a lovely fog covered swamp nearby you can park at.

He did say you might want to bring your own snacks though.

By Horror Fest in Baton Rouge do you mean Bayou Country Superfest?

The new Rennassance Hotel on Bluebonnet is pretty nice. I'm not sure of the price though. It's been several months.

There are several on Bluebonnet & I10 or Siegen & I10 that would be decent. Look up reviews on hotels.com or one of those and see what people have to say. You can filter by price, stars, and review rating.

I stayed at the Renaissance on Bluebonnet a few weeks ago. Not my kind of place really, seemed like it was trying to to hard to be something it's not.

Oh, and if you stay there and intend to have a drink or two at the bar, be prepared to wait. Those guys can make some decent drinks but it takes FOREVER to get one.

That's a pretty nice area of BR so all the hotels will be pretty good. the Hyatt and Renaissance on Blue Bonnet Blvd. are both pretty nice and not too expensive. The Cadillac Cafe is pretty much walking distance and that's probably one of the better bars on the side of town too. If you have any other questions PM or hit me up.
