Since our franchise hasn’t drafted a QB in the first round since 1971 do you really think that matters?

I don’t think what this franchise did for 30 years before Mickey was running things has any impact on who we draft in the future. We had Drew Brees for 15 years. We tried to draft Mahomes. We will likely draft one in the 1st round in the next couple years.
