To me personally, the most attractive quality about Glenn is he is a highly respected leader. He sounds like the kind of guy coaches want to coach for, and players want to play for.

He is still on my shortlist of candidates that I like. McCarthy coming available has changed things somewhat, but Glenn seems to be the leader of men this team needs. It doesn’t hurt that he spent the last few years with an organization that knows how to win.

The more I see and hear from him, the more I'm starting to believe this. He could be a roll of he dice like any first time head coach, but I also think he's someone you can really strike gold with if he's given time. Then you'll find players and coaches wanting to be here again to play for him.

Well, he's certainly thinking the right way and saying the right things.

True, but it doesn't change the fact that he is going to have to hire a good OC because he does not call offensive plays or design offenses or that if he is successful he is going to have to keep hiring good OCs every few years. Doesn't mean a team shouldn't hire him, but it is something to consider.

I personally think that his leadership would probably overcome those things, but it is an issue with any defensive coach.
