Was he drafted by the Jets?
Yes in Round 1, Pick 12. And strangely enough he was also drafted by the Texans in the 2002 Expansion Draft, Round 1, Pick 3.

Was he drafted by the Jets?
"Unless he won the Super Bowl a long time ago in which case, pass."saints fans.... "yeah well let him go win a super bowl and maybe he'd be good enough for us to consider"
interesting, i just went and looked up the expansion draft... .jets had 3 players drafted and could have removed players after each 1 was taken... they chose to allow these players to leave essentially.Yes in Round 1, Pick 12. No doubt, but the reverse is also true. Whoever hires Ben Johnson will have to reconcile with the reality that in the best of worlds, they'll have a constant cycle of DCs coming and going.True, but it doesn't change the fact that he is going to have to hire a good OC because he does not call offensive plays or design offenses or that if he is successful he is going to have to keep hiring good OCs every few years. Doesn't mean a team shouldn't hire him, but it is something to consider.
I personally think that his leadership would probably overcome those things, but it is an issue with any defensive coach.
I think that's a key part of the interview process: who will be on your staff? As I mentioned in another thread, I don't think Campbell was hired for his X&OS.Glenn isn't my first choice (certainly not last either) and we may not be his. He has options right now and history with several HC needy teams. My biggest concern is with who he can bring with him to be coordinators. Are they Saints retreads from when he was here? Lions position coaches? Does he have a pool of people in on other teams that he has relationships with?

All I'm saying is I want a CEO for a head coach who can provide broad direction and accountability to every phase of the game, including roster management.

They've been starting several practice-squad guys on defense. Glenn's probably been maxing out their abilities.Has the Lions defense been good or something? Every game I watch, they give up 30-40 points
