Matt Moscona really nails exactly how I feel about the current Saints team and situation. This is exactly how I felt pre 2006.

I agree with everything he said, but it appears the Saints are going to stay on the path their on, and follow Dennis Allen’s mantra of “keep doing what you’re doing”

If 🤞 the Saints do blow this coaching staff up after the season, and bring in a young offensive minded HC… who are some prospects you believe could the next Russell Wilson, or Dak Prescott type of 2nd round pick or later QB that you can build a team around?

Bo Nix, Oregon
Riley Leonard, Duke
Jayden Daniels, LSU
Quinn Ewers, Texas
Jordan Travis, FSU
JJ McCarthy, Michigan

Any of those guys up to the task?

No matter what, it’s going to be a long couple of years before things even have a chance of Turing around.

And I think for the majority of people now, that era you’re referring to may be your great grandfather’s Saints.

What's really sad is this team is starting to resemble the Saints from my childhood....man, I'm old!!!!!!

Easy there big fella. I was at the first game in '67. :hihi:
I am with you my friend and as bad as the Saints are the last couple of years IMO it is not even close to comparing this team with the woeful team that many of us followed for decades! The only highlight we had for a long long time was John Gilliams 94 yard opening kickoff return in '67!

I'm one of those grandfathers and I remember going to Saints games at Tulane Stadium with my uncle and cousin. My uncle always had tickets because
people he knew gave them to him for nothing. Everybody knew the outcome yet they were there shouting "Go Saints Go". We showed up to see losers
but they were our losers, our NFL team and we were amazed just to see them get a first down once in a while.
