After What CGJ said about New Orleans last game, I’m pulling for the KC Chiefs (91 Viewers)

I don't hate CJGJ. If you ever been screwed by an organization then you understand. Especially if you know your worth.

That said, I just don't seeing them beating the Kansas City Cheats.

The Saints didn’t screw him over. They reportedly offered him an extension that he didn’t immediately find on the market, and was reportedly in the neighborhood of the contract he’s playing on now in Philly. (The Saints were reportedly offering about $8 million / year and he wanted $12 million per.)

He’s had the chance to play for competitive teams since departing here. I’d say it’s worked out for him, and the Saints avoided tying up more money in a player who probably wouldn’t have been a good value to us given the team’s shortcomings.

...if you say so

Every report at the time was he was offered a deal making him the highest paid slot CB in the NFL which would have been around 8-9 million based on other contracts, and that he wanted safety money, which was in the 12-13 million range at that time.

I truly don’t care who wins but I do know from a psychological, deep down perspective, I’ll be quietly rooting for our new HC and for his playbook to look “fun” while doing it. 😂

And what positions does he play now? I'm not hating the guy because DA forced him to playing out of position and he spoke up about it. I'm happy for him and Baun. Baun took the opposite approach and it cost him playing time which means it caused him money.

I don’t get rooting against these guys for mistakes we know generated from Dennis Allen. I just hope that since they weren't early round picks that their drafting was more due to Ireland and the Saints Scouting department and not DA. We know the coach has input on the first round pick and possibly the 2nd. With DA gone, hopefully we can continue to land these middle round gems, BUT USE THEM CORRECTLY.

Nope, not blaming CGJ at all. Can't blame him for having to live through the ineptitude we all complained about for the past year and a half...some of you even longer (oh dear).

DA sent the only alphas on the team out of town. CJGJ being the first. And I don’t knock him for bashing the team for it. He’s getting under our skin like he used to do to everyone else. That’s why we loved him, can’t be haters now. Rooting for both of our guys.
I would argue Hendrickson was 1st, Saints didn’t try to retain him based on Allen’s insight

Still one of my favorite former Saints players, it ain't that serious. I rolling with Philly to delay the Mahomes GOAT ascent.

We were drafting defense about the same prior to the arrival of Dennis Allen as after with 1 exception. We never had a good secondary nor drafted good secondary talent till his arrival. But he was dog poo at utilizing front 7 talent. Ireland hit on Baun and Hendrickson and Allen had no idea what he had or how to use it so he shipped them out. His scheme relied very heavily on coverage sacks, so that seems to have been his focus. Maybe now he's gone we can actually form and coach a legitimate threatening front 7.

I will definitely be pulling for the Chiefs after what CGJ said about New Orleans following that eagles game. Anyone else pulling for KC ?
What did he say? Been away tending my departed wife.
