It could be that he's underperformed because teams scheme specifically for Bush.

simply put... no. for example, adrian peterson(pre favre), steven jackson and chris johnson(to name a few) had no problems putting up ridiculous numbers with no other threats on their offenses. you telling me that teams didnt gameplan to stop these guys?:jpshakehead: bush has a hall of fame qb thats getting alot of the attention, none of these guys had that yet week in and week out they did their thing.

Some of your post our disgusting. I need to figure out a way to gameplan against them at times.

Halle-******* uleh. Haters please keep hating, because some of know what the situation is....

It's interesting that once Reggie Bush is no longer a part of this team everyone that is blindly defending him will quickly turn on him. It happens all the time, and it will happen again.

The bottom line is he doesn't have an NFL body and can't take the hits. He's also not the most reliable player and has ball security problems. I also see him and the Saints far apart as far as what his monetary value to the team is- especially because I see Ingram coming in like gangbusters once training camp starts.

RB is gone.

All the RBs you listed also get 25+ touches per game. The Saints just aren't build like that. The reason the Saint offense works so well is because the ball is spread, and that's part of Bush's role, is to open everybody else up. I'm not going to look it up, but I'd be willing to bet that when Bush is on the field, Drew's comp% is way up there. If you look at Bush's YPC (3.98) over his career, it isn't elite, but it's not quite the bottom of the barrel either. I'd also be willing to argue that Bush's pass protection is better than CJ or AD.

Bottom line, you may not get more production wise from Bush than a CJ or AD, but you get a lot more versatility. If he can only stay healthy...

Truth. I am not a Reggie hater, but it's ridiculous to think that his lack of production is because other teams game plan for him. That doesn't seem to stop elite players on other teams. It's not like this offense is lacking weapons, so that excuse is terrible.

Bush's problems are the same he's always had since entering the league:

- Durability
- Ball security
- Vision (he's improved on this)
- Balance (watch the difference between Pierre and Reggie. Pierre gets bumped and keeps his balance. Reggie is always tripped up by shoestring tackles. He has terrible balance.)
- Thin legs - He's strong as hell but he just doesn't have the body type to be a truly effective NFL runner. He's too tall and lean. I can't think of another 6 foot RB with his build.

I thought the light went on for Reggie at the end of our Super Bowl season. But what good is that if he's always hurt?

I find it ironic that Harper gets killed for the Seattle game, but Bush drops a sure touchdown in the first quarter that's never mentioned.

I hope we keep him, but he's definitely not the difference between winning a championship or not.

Let's be fair here. It is Joel Segal's job to pump up Bush's value as much as possible. Of course he is going to say that other players told him they scheme for Bush, because it helps to increase Bush's value when he either renegotiates with the Satins or gets released. I wouldn't take anything that Bush's agent says about his value as the complete truth.

I doubt his value would change at all because of what his agent said on ESPN radio

Harper gave up 4 TD lol. that performance was all time bad so it kind of overshadows the drop, especially since we ended up with a 10-0 lead anyways

bush's ypc didnt come up until he got less carries. look it up. payton tried giving bush alot of touches in 2007 and 2008 and bush couldnt handle it.

- Randy Moss is motivated. chip on his shoulder. he'll be a difference maker. of course he wants to be on a winning team

I never said Bush was an every down back nor did I say we should give him more touches. I'll leave the offensive game plan to SP. Even without the last two years he's probably somewhere around 3.7 YPC which isn't bad either.

BTW, YPC wasn't even my main argument, I even said you may not get the same production as CJ or AD, but they can't give you the same things Reggie Bush can. It's apples and oranges.
