AJ Green Out indefinitely (1 Viewer)

I don't think the bullet was ever fired. If there was talks, no way was a trade gonna happen without the Saints doctors do a full evaluation

I have a feeling they would have rolled the dice if the price was right. I don't know if they asked, if they did the price was probably way too high. I just think of the Meredith knee injury as a similar case. They are willing to take on risks due to injury.

I don’t believe he’s hurt... He doesn’t want to play until he signs with a new team next season.

1. His surgically repaired ankle is swelling up.
2. He said he would ultimately play for the Bengals next year even if they franchised him.

While he was adamant about avoiding a franchise tag designation, he said the move would not lead to a holdout.

"That's not me," Green said. "I'm not giving free money away. I don't care what that is."

Though he said he'd prefer the team would let him go rather than use the franchise tag, he's also made it clear throughout the season that he wants to remain with the Bengals.

"I'm not going to be a guy that says, 'Oh I want to get traded' and then go to a situation where I'm not happy," Green said. "Like, I'm genuinely happy here. We might not win, but I'm happy here. But at the end of the day, this is a business. I know my worth and I know what I bring to this team."

Guys like Antonio Brown and Jalen Ramsey are ruining the reputation of legitimate people.

Dodging a bullet? This bullet should of been avoided to begin with. When the idea of this possible trade, I was really against it because of age and his injuries the past few season. If there was a trade, I would not give them more than a 4th rounder. It was crazy to hear some on here upset that we didn't make that trade. I was happy that that tweet turn out to be false. From what I understand and read, there were talk between us and the Bengals. Interests were there but I guess they wanted more than what we were willing to give. If this trade was to happen, and Green is still having this issue, I would say the front office have not learn their lesson about their recent "injured" free agency acquisition as of late. Sometime the best trade is not trading at all.

I'm not sure he wouldn't be healthy if he had been traded and contract extended.

Right now he is on a winless team at 31 years old during a contract year, on a team that is about to be in full rebuild mode, my ankle would be hurt too as well as my elbow, wrist, eyebrows, leg hair, that little soft spot of skin behind my arm pit, inner ear infection would be screwing with my balance and dry scalp would be keeping me out the rest of the season.
Thank God you said arm pit. I sure thought you were going south with that one.

I believe there is absolutely nothing wrong with Green besides he simply doesn’t want to be a Bengal anymore.!

The Bengals as a franchise are useless.

I feel bad for AJ Green though. Good guy, terrific player and does the right thing. Sucks he's injured again.

Maybe he lands on another team in 2020.

Shame on all of you who wanted this injured player. Shame. Go stand in the corner. How dare you want the Saints to have an awesome football player.

It’s so hard to believe this is legitimate thanks to his contemporaries.

Either he’s perpetually injured. Or he’s putting up a front for appearances.
