I’m in! How will you know I was listening to the song? Someone posts it on the EE board we all lose.
You watchin' the video?Making this sticky in 3...2...1...
Lol, I just realized that I join the contest on my bday...
MariahGeddon* 2022!
- The objective of the game is to go as long as possible without hearing Mariah's Christmas classic, "All I Want for Christmas is You".
- The game starts on December 1st at 6 AM and runs through midnight on December 24th.
- Only the original version applies. You may enjoy remixes and covers.
- We are using the honor system: you're out as soon as you hear and recognize the song. Post here to indicate when you're out.
@nolaspe @Taurus @Nisey55 and @Dago will get a one-week bye for the 2022 contest. Everyone else will start on the 1st of December at 6 AM, this group will start at 6 pm on December the 8th. Congrats! (Any repeat winners from this group will be excluded in 2023. As contest director, I am excluding myself from the contest.)
@SamAndreas is being allowed a provisional entry to this year's contest. We don't want to exclude anyone because they live in the boonies, but we also are aware that self-enforced remoteness deserves attention by the rules committee (made up of the previous year's winners and the CD).
Everyone who decides to take the plunge must declare entry between December 1st and December 4th by posting that declaration in this thread.
* Yes, I know the image misspells the name of the antagonist. Grammar nazis need not apply.
It starts tomorrow...Like Kramer on Seinfeld, "I'm out!"
Stoopid FB Reels.
And so it shall be granted...I want in
I'm really beginning to believe that people are just saying they are out because they want to listen to the song. If they really wanted to be in the game, they would actually read the rules. It starts tomorrow...
I suspect this too.I'm really beginning to believe that people are just saying they are out because they want to listen to the song. If they really wanted to be in the game, they would actually read the rules.
