I have an ‘alternative Christmas’ playlist I was playing in the car taking the boys to the lake for the Xmas boat parade - the My Chemical Romance “All I want…” cover came on and my oldest was horrified
Not sure why that felt like a tiny victory but it did
Then we get to the lake and one of the first boats is just blaring Mariah - my son seemed to think I got dunked on

I just survived an out of town weekend with numerous stops in retail stores, stayed at my cousin's who played Christmas music selected from pandora, a karaoke party at their neighbor's house and the radio on and off in the car.

The biggest thing is that I told a few people about it and Not One person threw me under the bus! Talk about good friends!
