Alvin Kamara named captain for the rest of the season; plus other roster moves (1 Viewer)

This is interesting because the Saints were already at the new NFL max # of 8 captains.
Davis, McCoy, Jordan, Mathieu, Carr, Hill, Gray and Wood.

It doesn’t seem like any of them would do something that leads to losing their captaincy during the season. But you never know. I wonder if the Saints were granted an exemption to make AK the 9th captain.
We will see Sunday.

I didn't know they can name somebody a captain at the mid part of the season. I wonder who lost their Captain decal. Or they haven't fully named all of the captains this past offseason until now
Don't think the NFL has a limit

He deserves it he led the charge for the players in a way only he can. He said a lot by saying very little and choosing his words wisely.
Yes I loved how he said the players aren't lacking confidence, I wish I could remember what he said about DA. But he said it very cool and clever

In most every other locker room in all other team sports... yes. Players name captains. I wouldn't be surprised if DA named captains, and Rizzi came in and had the team elect captains like all other teams.
Nah, Saints players voted for their team captains before the season like they do every year. AK just didn’t make the top 8 cut amongst teammates vote at the time. I think he’s emerged into the most visible leader on the field and in the locker room, post games, since the season started.

Yep it was the classiest takedown of a coach I have ever seen a professional athlete pull off. He didn’t come out and say it but what he said left no room for exactly what he ment.

He hadn’t signed his extension at the beginning of the year.
I'm kinda glad he did signed an extension. Not only he's going to break the all-time Saints rushing record but I really want him to become the 1st ever Saints running back to eclipse 10,000 career rushing yards. He's already on track of getting his first career 1,000 rushing yards this season. He might possibly add another Pro Bowl nod on his resume.
