Alvin Kamara skips last minicamp practice over contract dispute (No Guarantees in ‘25); Alvin Kamara is seeking an extension (1 Viewer)

I do wanna acknowledge that virtually everyone that said Karama was declining said they hoped he would prove them wrong, and while 2 games is a small sample-size, it certainly is starting to look like he will prove yall wrong!

I mean we cant afford him... so im still not wrong. Never said he was declining. I was wrong for claiming he would hold out.

Bro, you called him a car with 2 wheels, don't crawfish, just own it.

EDIT:

Just reread your post, you wanted to trade him for a car with 2 wheels, didn;t call him a car with two wheel.

My apologies, didn't mean to misrepresent your post.

Never doubted AK's ability, give him just a little space and he creates....he is not your typical 29 year old RB.....He hasn't lost a thing.....just stay healthy....

Ok good, im just coming from a perspective of he is good and we will struggle to find the money for him unless he is our ONE and only "talent" we sign this offseaon....

and now im rereading the fun part, "im not making a comparison im making an anaology you stupid imbicile that never graduated 1st grade"classic stuff. What a maroon...

Doesn't that really depend on how much he is asking for?

There is likely a number that works for both sides, but I think this is more about how many years rather than the AAV. And I know you don't like it, but the Saints can afford anything they want to afford. The question is whether or not they should and how many years do you give a 29 year-old RB who appears to still be in his prime.

New OC, OLC, RBC, TEC, WRC.

No "notable" offensive free agents signed.

Drafted an OL in the first then was content to sit until the fifth round for additional offensive players. Widely reported they had a trade setup with the Rams to move back, not draft Bowers or Fuaga. Fifth round picks have a 30% success rate in the NFL, and that 30% is heavily padded with Kickers and Special Teams role-players, not core 11 starters.

The only major changes the Saints made offensively was bringing in a whole new core offensive coaching staff and drafting Fuaga.

The Saints didn't just sit idle in free agency, they also sat idly by in the draft. For a front office famous for saying "F dem picks" and going all in to move up for a guy, this year they instead just opted to trade up to draft defense and at a position they are already loaded, and not any kind of offensive player who could potentially be a day one starter.

It is abundantly clear the Saints believe they have the talent already on offense and it just needed proper guidance.

This is why I think AK rushes for over 1k this season.

Dennis Allen is banking his entire career on only needing an offensive coaching staff overhaul. And since I am one of those people who would rather be wrong about DA than right, I believe we're going to see an excellent rushing attack behind a smart blocking scheme, good play design, and a re-energized offensive roster.

👀

I certainly underestimated the negative impact our scheme was having on his game as well as the other backs. He seems to have his confidence and swagger back, and you can see he believes in the plays being called again and running much harder.

Very happy to eat crow here. Hopefully he can sustain and be an exception to the typical rule.
Respect.

He will be looking for best running back in the league money as he has proven to all his doubters. And 29 shmoony nine, dude is built different and doesn't take the the volume of hits that most running backs do. He has the best balance since Barry Sanders. I hope they can afford to keep him.

If Williams isn't productive and our other backs aren't working out, we should 100 percent pay AK and draft/sign a back that can split the load as RB2, especially someone that fits the downhill/between the tackles type of RB.

This will preserve AK's longivity and also give us new options in KK's scheme.
