I always thought the term hot garbage was kind of like "extra bad garbage".
Garbage smells. If garbage gets hot it typically smells even worse.
Hence the term.

Dalton was clearly frustrated last night. He looked liked he was ready to call out his O-line a couple of times in the game when they had gotten to him before he could finish his drop to pass.
On the other hand you had Sean Payton with a makeshift offensive line who was guaranteeing the media before the game yesterday that the Ravens would not go on a 'sack frenzy' as they had done the week before! This man ain't playing games... and he ain't frustrating his team in the process!
