I keep seeing this posted incorrectly so I wanted to point it out to everyone. If the Steelers trade Antonio Brown then they will still be on the hook for his signing bonus and for the part of his contract that they restructured. You can not trade those away.

If he is traded, his cap hits to his future team will be only $15.1 million in 2019, $11.3 million in 2020, and $12.5 million in 2021.

In my opinion, he is a bargain at those prices.

Wow. His cap hits over the next three years are less than Jarvis Landry, Brandin Cooks, Stefon Diggs, and Alshon Jeffery according to Sportrac.

That 15.1 million cap hit for 2019 seems like a lot but then you look at Sammy Watkins and his 19.2 mill cap hit for 2019 and 21 mill for 2020. Sammy Watkins' agent needs a raise.

The problem is that AB wants a NEW deal with a new team. His cap numbers in 2019 and 2020 would be more, even in a new deal. I think the Saints will do it, get AB for this year's second rounder, and can fit him under the cap, for the next two years. The year 2021 is an "all bets are off" year in so many ways. For the NFL you are looking at a possible lockout or labor stoppage, possibly an uncapped year, and most likely a higher salary cap, possibly far higher. For the Saints, 2021, is maybe the first non-DB year? If so, and they go with a rookie, there's your cap space right there.

As Pittsburgh will absorb his signing and restructure bonuses immediately if we trade for him, approx $21MM if we pick up his current contract, we can cut or trade him in later years with no dead money.

Loomis make it happen....just kidding we can’t afford him even at those so called bargain salaries.

If AB is going to demand a new contract... that's going to make him awful unattractive to a lot of teams. He's likely wanting closer to 20 mill/yr and most if not all guaranteed. Is he worth it? Absolutely. His track record says he's worth that and more. But "will he be worth it for the next 3 to 5 years? That's very debatable.

He is not getting a new contract while effectively making $20 million per season. That does not make any sense. Nobody with any common sense is rumoring that he is trying to get a new contract and no team in the NFL is going to pay him $20 million a year while he is still getting $5 million a year from the Steelers. The Steelers bad decisions do not effect what he does with his new team. People really need to stop making up crazy rumors on here that have no merit.

AB > This List
AB over any 3 player combo from that list. I don't think many people here actually WATCH AB. He does what he wants to with a football. Runs any and every route. Catches everything. YAC surpasses everything mentioned so far. So ummmm, Golden Tate (insert anyone else in discussion) or AB. What a tough choice.

Finally someone posts correct information in here!

I disagree. You are simply disregarding what you don't want to consider. High profile player getting traded wants a new deal. Every. Damn. Time.

And someone will give it to him.

It won't be us, thankfully. So you can stop peddling the 'certainty' of Brown's cap figure, because his current deal will either be up in smoke when he dons a new uniform, or (less likely) he'll be in kiss and make up mode in Pittsburgh, again while chasing a new contract.

I think he'll end up having to play on his current deal. I doubt he'll get a new deal from any team that's considered a contender. Not a very favorable position he's in. I tend to sympathize with him personally. Must've finally became too much to have to play buddy with a scumbag like Rothlishturder. But the better teams will probably still hold it against him just for leverage
