Anyone considering that the Saints/Falcons game could be impacted by Hurricane Helene (2 Viewers)

You mean the storm that's not even a depression yet?

Not saying it won't be, but there's a lot of time till next Sunday.
Funny you say this. I totally agree and got into argument with my dad on the boat this weekend. Why worry about a storm that has not even made it to the gulf or even formed into a depression? I said its rain and he lost his sheet and I could not escape felt like I was trapped in a political debate with him.

Looks like they're saying a possible major development now, and actually tightening the cone as well.

Hannah Gard said at noon possibly a cat 2, but like I said earlier, still plenty time before.

That one spaghetti track bringing it close to the mouth of the river can kick rocks...

Because it’s been proven how wrong that thought process is. This was ok 20 years ago. It just simply isn’t like that anymore. With the data that hurricane trackers can get from even flying through it as just a storm 10 days in advance can give you plenty of enough information to make an educated prediction that is pretty accurate far more times than it’s not, especially with AI

Looks like that front coming down is going to be our saving grace.
Agreed. That front will push it more west. NHC calling for a major hurricane as of 4pm. Normally the stronger it gets it would start to shift east with these conditions, but that front is going to save MS/LA it seems.

The taco watch vs warning chart can also be applied to predicting hurricanes.

All the ingredients are available for tacos to be made. The taco just hasn't actually been made.

This is Saints related since we have a game in Georgia, thanks for that info though

Here's another, if it does get close to Atlanta, it will be early Friday, and downgraded.

You do mean east, right?

Nope.

If the timing of that front to the east lines up right and if it sticks around it will push it west. But that remains to be seen, also the strength of the storm will play a big part in that as well. I’m thinking it’s going to end up tracking a little more east with the intensity it’s going to build over the warm gulf. But, not a ton.

Ok, but looking at the track, it has it going east over the gulf into the bend of Florida.

I'm assuming you mean once it hit's land and starts a northern track.

The front is moving southeast.
