Are the Buccaneers who we think they are?

Or are they better than what they are perceived to be?

The Falcons are the Saints most hated rival due to their length of history playing each other but Atlanta nor Carolina can enter the conversation of anything mentioned below, therefore, the Buccaneers are currently the Saints biggest competition in the NFC South. With that said, lets take a look at what the Buccaneers can boast of, especially over the past 4 years.

The Bucs are the Only NFC team that has made the Playoffs each of the past 4 seasons, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023.

The only teams in the entire NFL that have more current consecutive Playoff seasons than the Bucs with 4 are the Chiefs (9) and the Bills (5).

The Bucs have Won more Playoff games (6) than any other NFC team over the past 4 seasons. Only the Chiefs (AFC) in the entire league have won more playoff games the past 4 seasons (9).

No other team in the NFL has won more Super Bowls during the past 4 seasons than the Bucs (1), Chiefs (1), Rams (1) - 2023 season yet TBD.

The Bucs have won the NFC South the past 3 years in a row, 2021, 2022, 2023.

The Bucs have won 2 Super Bowls, the most by any franchise currently in the NFC South. (Saints 1)

The Bucs have made the playoffs 4 consecutive years in a row 2 times (1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 - 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023). (The Saints have done so just once, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020)

Over the past 4 seasons the Buccaneers have a regular season record of 41 Wins and 26 Losses. (The Saints have a record of 37 Wins and 30 Losses over the past 4 seasons.)

The Buccaneers are the only team in the NFC South to Appear in an NFC Championship Game, Win an NFC Championship, Appear in a Super Bowl, Win a Super Bowl, in the past 4 seasons.

The Saints have Won the NFC South 7 times. The Bucs have Won the NFC South 6 times.

It's time for the Saints to regain control of the division and break the Bucs reign. 2024 will be the year to do it. The Saints can't let this linger any longer. Let's Go!

They won’t make the playoffs next year. Baker overachieved and Mike Evans won’t be there next season.

They were better than us this year. Mostly because Lattimore did not show up to shut down Evans.

The Bucs have a Legacy Roster - they stocked up to make the most of Brady's last years as we did with Brees. As we got some mileage out of that good defense after Brees left, they are now doing it too.

As the Saints do not appear to be improving, the Bucs might be the best next year too.

Saints still have more division wins though. As of now Saints 7, Bucs 6, Panthers 5, Falcons 4. The post-Allen era (may it come soon) will be our time to pad the lead.

They have a bottom 10 head coach and a QB that we still don’t know if he can be consistent year to year, they do have a defense that got better as the year went on.

They’re not a good team, but they weren’t as bad as the rest of the division the entire year

Same record as us. We split games against them. Carr was playing hurt the first time. We’re better than them.

They have a pretty big, significant UFA list this year and we don’t so it’ll be interesting to see what they do this offseason.

Yes, they are better than us in recent years, it's just a violation of forum guidelines to suggest any division rival is better.
2 rings>1
Divisional round > no playoffs
Bowles> Allen
Truth hurts.

They have some nice pieces on that team. I think White is a very good rb, like him or not Evans produces. The question will be if he comes back next season. Can't sleep on Chris Godwin he has 3 straight 1k receiving would have been 5 if not for an injury.

On the defensive side they are good at stopping the run, top 5 I think. If you can stop the run in the playoffs, you got a chance, which is why the game with Detroit was close.

Detroit and SF turn out to be the only truly good teams in the NFC this year. I would have put Dallas and Philly in that category back in November. Then you have about 10-12 teams that there’s not a hairs difference between and that includes us and Tampa. And then there’s Chicago, Arizona and Washington at the bottom. I’m not worried about Tampa being a tiny bit better than us. I’m concerned with us getting into the elite tier again.

Would u switch a "bottom 10 HC" for ours on a one year deal? Of course, you would. Never heard of him referred to as bottom 10 before. Thanks for the info.

Then you obviously have not paid attention. Yearly he is ranked in the bottom 10 and often times bottom 5. No need to be a jerk when you obviously have not done the research

U still did not answer the question.

I will do your research for you since you are too lazy to do it. Also, God no I would not switch him for ours. I would not want either one of them leading our franchise, unless someone like Brady is coming with him from the past. Do not even get me started on the horrible mismanagement of the clock in the playoff game by him, lol. He's simply not a good head coach. Yes, he won a pathetic division and Head Coach Tom Brady carried him before that. What is he now? 17-17 with the Bucs? 41-57 as a head coach?

Going into this season, and I could go on and on but this is just the easiest to find.
