This is just a rumor, but I'd expect it to have some truth behind it. With the salary cap, there will definitely be changes. I don't necessarily see Carr being let go, especially when he is not a top paid QB. I could see Carr being traded if we start the rebuild mode sooner than later.

The fact that this article says we released Lattimore when we traded him, to me, shows it's just one guys opinion and not based on anything else. I would also expect Carr to go to a team where he might start even if it's as a placeholder for a rookie, ie Giants, Vikings if they don't bring back Darnold...

Carr is a good quarterback to build around until we get a younger, new starter.

If you rebuild with a rookie, you will kill his career.

That would be a terrible decision for us to make... regardless of negative Saints fan rhetoric, Carr is a good QB and he's paid a very moderate price for a good NFL starting caliber QB. It would be a mistake to move on from him with no backup plan and it would be a huge mistake to throw a young guy on the field with our current roster (Look how awful Rattler played).

Definitely not happening now, Saints will not be in a position to draft a young qb.

I doubt even before NO found a pulse last week Carr would be going anywhere, even with drafting a qb .

Carr is cheap qb who is good to keep until the Saints get that next qb
