Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) Discussion (3 Viewers)

It seems to me that those holding a copyright would have a much bigger problem with the entire internet. Paywalls are entirely ineffective and hilariously easy to circumvent, and I am not sure there is a way to reasonably quantify a claim against AI. This feels like Napster vs. The Music Industry v2.0. The only winners will be the ones that figure out how to deploy AI as a vehicle to work for their copywritten content.

Meanwhile, China chuckles to themselves “WTH is a copyright?”

“We’re very worried about AIs”
- The same people who are buying out and threatening legal action against competitors to develop more advanced AI models.

But hey, it’s okay because they say edgy things on the internet.

Rest easy folks...

“In their letter to the board, researchers flagged AI’s prowess and potential danger, the sources said without specifying the exact safety concerns noted in the letter. There has long been discussion among computer scientists about the danger posed by highly intelligent machines, for instance if they might decide that the destruction of humanity was in their interest.”

And the only way they can decide that, is if we tell them that's a possibility.

Absolutely terrifying.

I remember during the time the Cuban missile event was going all of the sirens started going off. They used to test it regularly but they always announced it before hand but for whatever reason their was no warning. I was 8 or 9 at the time and that's the most terrified I've ever been before or since.

I like Open AI for the way it handles text prompts, it's not based on Stable Diffusion. (if I'm understanding right) Leonardo AI is. I like them both but went Leonardo because of the features and because it bills monthly as opposed to yearly.

I sat watching these video clips with my mouth open and thinking that this footage must be real. It's both incredible and frightening that this level of AI generated video is possible. What's more frightening is how quickly it has improved to this level. We're talking less than a year ago, this stuff was at a laughably bad level.
