I have stopped this year other than the games I couldn’t sell. As a 20 ticket holder I’m really not re-upping as the cost goes up the product goes down. As for next season I’ll follow on the app

I think the DA hate is irrational. It's pretty easy to see the problem is the offense. DA has very little to do with that. Bring in a better offensive coordinator and the team is fixed. Blaming DA is silly and histrionic.
DA is the head coach. Jim Mora was also the head coach and his conservative style is what caused our offense to suck then.... Dennis makes the decisions not Pete.

The collapse of this organization began even before Sean moved on. We optimistically thought that Dennis may have had some advantages to successfully coach our team based on what he experienced from his Raiders gig and from his time under Payton. It was also part of this positive reasoning that he was inheriting a better situation than he had with the Raiders.

Frankly, I (as well as others) was duped into believing that we may have begun the upward swing back to prominence. However that was not the case. It’s crystal clear that Allen is not the guy to put us back on top.

That said, having DA back next year will actually be easier for me to watch Saints games. Why??? Because we now know the truth about him and about the state of this team. The collapse HAD to be complete; without attempting to salvage our credibility with a roster full of ‘past-their-prime’ multi-millionaires.

Next year & 2025 will be the fat cutting part of the rebuild. There is absolutely NOTHING any new coach can do to salvage what Loomis & Allen tried to make work using the failed ‘can kicking’ method of creating a winning team. We may as well leave Allen in place while the ‘fat trimming’ is taking place. It HAD to happen, and it’s best to start paying the piper now.

So I will actually find it much easier to follow the Saints the next 2 miserable season while the collapse plays out to the end simply because I already know that the Saints aren’t in line for any kind of success in the near future. We could easily finish the next two seasons anywhere between 1-17 & 7-10 and it will all be completely acceptable to me because I will go into the next two seasons with ZERO expectations.

After the ‘house’ has been cleaned, we can ship Allen & Carmichael to the land of useless NFL coaches and give our new coach a clean slate with enough cap space to build the championship contender that we‘ve longed for since the 2017 season. I’m sure the time will fly by. I hope so anyway.
But what if they continue chopping wood and kicking the can down the road?
every off season we discuss the overhaul of parts of this team, cutting back and whatever to try to get our cp back again and every year Loomis kicks the can down the road. What if he does that again this offseason instead of starting to right the ship?

It's weird, if you asked me a month ago I'd have said all four teams in the NFCS were going to be looking for new head coaches. Now it's looking more and more like it's just going to be Carolina...probably the least desirable job in the league right now.

I will always watch. Saints football is more to me than winning and losing. It’s an event. It’s meal planning, having that cigar and a drink while I watch the game.

I want us to get the best pick possible but I also love spoiling it for the Bucs and falcons so win win.

I will never forget that 1 win season in 1980. Driving back from duck hunting in Cameron Parish. Listening to the game on the radio and the relief and joy I felt when we won. Life is short enjoy what you can when you can.

I dropped $400 on YouTube for the Saints games. So, I'm mad about that. Secondly, they sucked. So there's that.

If DA comes back, I will not watch. We already know what we are going to get with him: lackluster, boring, losing football. He is not a leader of men. He is not inspiring. What coach and/or player with options would want to come to New Orleans?? Aging roster, salary cap hell, walking into a team with no morale and a lame duck coach. And with the NFC East and AFC West on the schedule next year? HA! No thanks. Going to be a bloodbath.

I equate this to watching the worst movie you have ever seen. Why would you pay money to watch something that you already know the outcome to? And hated it!!

I watched 2 games and that was enough so I won't purchase ST as far as 2024 goes. I don't spend any money on Saints merchandise or anything the last thing I bought was a Kamara T shirt 4 years ago on my vacation to New Orleans. No winning no spendy.

I’ll watch but renew my tickets? That’s up in the air. Downsize to two probably if not just let all four go.

How else would i watch them?
I’ll watch out of habit but my expectations will be very low

Its a good thing that those of us who sat through the Mecom years and early Benson years didn't throw in the towel. This is nothing compared to those years.

I'll be watching in spite of the condition of the franchise. Of course my emotional investment will be quite subdued.
If I made it through John North, JD Roberts, Dick Nolan (who was actually a good HC), a checked out Bum Phillips, Mike Ditka, Jim Haslett and Hank Stramm I'll make it through this one.

I'll p and moan about it but I'll still watch.
I would. The teams I am a fan of get a fresh start and a healthy dash of optimism at the start of each year.
The bad times make the good times more enjoyable. To add to that, we’ve been pretty spoiled as Saints fans over the past 10-15 years. You can’t be at the top of the pyramid every year - the system is designed to conspire against that - but I’d suggest there are fans of 26-28 other teams who would love to trade places with us over that period.

This team doesn’t owe me much either. They’ve already given me countless hours of enjoyment and several unforgettable trips to the U.S. to see them play. So of course I am going to continue to support them, win, loss or draw.
yes. I been though worst. But I will be deflated and probably casually watch the game and not get nervous like I once did.
I'VE BEEN A SAINTS FAN SINCE NOVEMBER 1, 1966. I SEE NO REASON TO STOP NOW.
I’ve had season tickets since 1988. I’ve watched every play since 1978 when i was 8 years old. Some delayed on video tapes when i returned home from deployment that my dad had recorded for me. But I’m strongly considering the possibility of not renewing and/or not even watching if they bring back this feline of an excuse of a coach.
Yes, you all will.
We can go through another 40 years of Aints and we will be watching.
sure will watched it when Bum, Haslett, Ditka were coaches. True fan here:sir-saint:
I will support my Saints no matter what!
It's one thing to watch it on TV but it's another thing spending money on tickets, concessions, parking, and team merchandise.

I went to just one game this year but I don't intend on going back until they offer a better product.
Watch. Yes.
Attend live. No.
Yes but I also watch train wrecks and dumpster fires.
Geez. Of course I will

The day I stop watching the Saints, Pels, and LSU is the day I go blind.

At least some of the folks here are honest in their responses. Keeping It Real!

For the record, I didn't vote as I think it's a ridiculous question to ask a Tru Saints Fan. A True Saints Fan (not a fair weather one) will be watching, or listening if watching is not possible, no matter what. That's what we do.

Not to question someone's True Fandom, but I find it hard to imagine that any of the core members on this site that are here almost every single day of the year posting or lurking, would have that amount of interest to do so, but then would intentionally boycott watching the games. Seriously? Some of the most ardent "NO" posters in this thread were here on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. This thread is now 7 pages deep and a week old and has stayed near the top of the front of page one since last Saturday.

To put things in perspective for me, I've been a fair-weather casual fan of the Pelicans the last few years and have been watching most of their games when I can. I've been to a few of their games. However, I haven't spent one second on a Pelican forum lurking much less becoming a daily contributor posting comments on one. How is it possible to comment on something with an in-depth perspective stating your point of view when you didn't even watch? If your interest is that low, why would you bother investing your time on a site that's sole subject is one in which you no longer have an interest following closely enough to watch?

But I can only speak for myself. You guys do you.

For context, I love Saints football. There aren't any other NFL games I watch with the same amount of interest, including the Super Bowls. I can easily do without watching most other games although I do watch some of them, especially those that may have an impact on the Saints. There's only 17 days a year I'm guaranteed a chance to watch and root for the Saints to win. As a fan you have to be willing to take a sip of vinegar as well as a sip of champagne along the journey. It doesn't matter to me if Ronald McDonald 🤡 or Vince Lombardi 👮‍♂️ is the head coach. I'm hoping and rooting for them to get a win any way possible.

I try to take an optimistic view at all times if possible. Sometimes it's difficult to maintain. It's just as easy to come here and get leveled after a win as it is after a loss if you have to much of a positive outlook. But even as sour and negative as it can get here, I will continue to come back because this is the best Saints forum available, period! There are many knowledgeable posters here with great insight and thoughts but there are also a few that only know that 4 quarters equals a dollar or that personal foul means that you haven't bathed in a while.

After reading the post below I was reassured that the Love True Die-Hard Fans have for the Saints transcends beyond a single player or coach, a game or a season, and beyond a regime including a coaching, management, or ownership period. For some fans, the Saints are in their blood. They're family. There's unconditional Love.

If DA is retained, I will have low expectations for the season, but I will renew my season tickets and I will attend a few games depending on my health. In 2017 I was in the hospital for several months, not expecting to live. At that time, I asked my baby to keep my season tickets active if I did not survive. She has since been added to my account and my Will was modified to keep my season tickets active after my death. She will continue to keep my season tickets active, but I do not expect her to attend any games as she has never been a huge fan. She will do this because it was my wish when I was on my death bed fighting for my life. I have no choice but to continue to support the Saints, they are a part of me and my life.

May Your Health be Restored 🙏 Saintsfan4life 🙏and You be Blessed to enjoy Many More Years of Saints football along with the Love of Your Family, Here or at Home, my Saints Fan Brother. As always, Who Dat!
