... I realize that all we will really be watching are young men wearing Saints uniforms as we 'scrimmage' with the Cardinals' skeleton crew and begin our football lineup for the year. The exhibition game this weekend will have very little semblance to what Kubiak & Allen will be offering (either offensively or defensively) as they attempt to make our team legitimate once again. Yes, these are nothing more than 'bubble' games to see which individual players will have the right stuff to be considered worthy to be on an NFL roster (whether here or anywhere else). Many participants will not make the final cuts on any team's list of '53'.

It's also obvious that the attrition we have seen so far at the Saints training camp will have the vast majority of our key players enjoying the game in Glendale from the sidelines. Tickets for this game fittingly start at $4 per seat on SeatGeek. So coming to any conclusion about the true state of our football team for the this season would be an exercise in futility. We just need to enjoy the fact that the playing field will once again feature our beloved colors, and this should wet our appetites for the games that really matter in the weeks to come.

In the meantime, continue to cheer for your favorite camp beast and stay tuned to the unveiling of the first 'non-Sean &/or Pete' offense that we've seen in nearly two decades starting on September 8th. While we have another month before the wrapping comes off that much anticipated present, it'll be fun to watch which new acquisitions may make our 2024 team one to be proud of!

Geaux Saints! :9:

We'll get to see the Haener/Rattler competition for second, and the new kickoff rule in effect. Yes, not the best game to see this year, but it could be interesting.

You could make the case that, short of a Super Bowl run, the best thing that could happen this season is for Rattler to show he could be a legit starter moving forward.

I’m a lot more interested in watching these preseason games than I have been in awhile.

Rattler has definitely been a pleasant surprise! :9:

Hoping he plays good enough that we have a QB controversy next offseason but not good enough that we have one this year.

There's football on this weekend?

Just kidding. I knew that. But only since yesterday.
