Ask a fan anything about the Cowboys (3 Viewers)

Hello and welcome. I live in DFW (Frisco) and work with Cowboy fans, and all but a couple are VERY afraid of this game. Saints play on another level in prime time especially prime time in the Dome.

Saints are going to score... its going to be up to Romo and that offense to try to keep up. I hope for a clean game with no injuries... its gonna be fun to watch.

LOL ...I live in Lewisville. We may have run across one another and not even known it.

No questions here, Just my take. I've described already how I believe our team is only average, and we've been overly hyped. I think your cowboys have a very good chance at beating my Saints In our own house. With our very poor oline, Ware will get his. Romo will light It up I think too. I despise your Cowgirls, but I'm predicting y'all get a win. If this does happen, Saints Report (Immediately following the game) will come down with a severe case of meltdownitous. The world will be ending and all of that stuff as well.

P.S. You sound like a rational and knowledgeable fan, feel free to visit anytime to give your take.

Travis Frederick was your first round pick right, i remember thinking you had a shocking first round (did you trade down badly or just reach?) ... he been any good this year??

Always great to have some conversation with another fan that really wants to hear about another teams players and match ups. Normally, I would say that the Saints would win a match up like this but what really gets me, is that every year, not one year here and another year there, but every year, we lose two brain fart games like the Pats game and the Jets game. It's maddening really. But with the sloppy play of our O-Line, and all the injuries on defense, ie. Cam Jordan, Curtis Lofton, David Hawthorne, Malcom Jenkins, Roman Harper, Tyrun Walker and on and on, I have my doubts, and then we have all the drops by the TE and WR's as well as Brees getting killed every week and now EVERY game has me concerned. I found it strange how we were averaging 4.3 ypc last week and only ran the ball 13 times :jpshakehead:, sometimes this team and coaching staff just boggle the mind with why they do some of the things they do, but right now, I am seriously concerned about the will and determination of this team going forward and hope to see some signs of life and fortitude from them beginning this week.:idunno:

What I would LOVE to see is us making the playoffs and everyone that's been missing games due to injury, back playing and healthy. I want to see this team's potential at full strength. That would be great timing.

And if we win? What will you say then?

Personally, I don't mind you thinking we'll lose, I just think your reasons why are stupid. You act like the Cowboys don't have issues as well and aren't having to play on the road.

They have OL problems. They have the worst pass defense in the league. They have no pass rush (with or without Ware). They can't run the ball effectively.

I'll probably be weary of a loss to SF next week but I see no logical reason to pick the Cowboys this week exact emotional overreaction to last weeks loss.

What are your thoughts on why so much hate exists for the Cowboys?

All football history aside, I hate the Cowboys for the mere fact that they must have a solid nationwide fan base at this point, as I live in Memphis and get sick and tired of the networks deciding to air Cowboys games instead of Saints games. When stuff like Cowboys vs. Vikings airs instead of Saints vs. Jets, it is just one more tally mark in my "I hate the Cowboys" mindset. Of course, my good college buddy who I watched football with throughout college is a Cowboys fan. That doesn't help much either. I hope Romo drops a snap and falls down before reaching the end zone and all exist the game healthy with lots of heartbroken Cowboys fans having nightmares of the beatdown their team takes in the Dome!

I think its the "America's Team" tag that started for them. NFL Films created the nickname, but people don't know that and think the Cowboys started it themselves.

Reminder: Watch this clip a few times in a row.

If Romo picks the ball up and IMMEDIATELY starts out running left, he scores. If you notice, he pick up the ball, starts right, then goes left. That split second mistake made all the difference in the world.

The defender would not have caught him had he started left right away.

Oh, well...

:gosaints:

actually if you watch the kicker, if he would of made a little better of a block, Romo scores.

he has been awesome here. started every game so far. couldn't ask more from a rookie.

I think it will be a close game, could go either way. Thanks for the compliment, I've enjoyed this.

have to disagree with you here. Cowboys Oline has actually been solid, with or without Waters. They aren't perfect but Tyron Smith is one of the better LTs in the league, Free is the top rated RT in football according to FFL and Travis Frederick has been a beast.

Also the Cowboys do have a very good pass rush. They are 13th in the league and that has been without 2 starters all year and DeMarcus Ware for 4 games, who is still a beast IMO. Hatcher is the 2nd ranked DT according to FFL this year and has 7 sacks. The Cowboys have a very good pass rush.

The run the ball effectively is kind of not true. They just don't run the ball. Murray has 4 carries for 27 yards last week but the Cowboys ran it just EIGHT times. Ridiculous.

The pass defense is true. They just get killed but elite QBs, and well Brees is elite lol so I expect the same thing.

I believe the Saints will win this game as well, but I don't think it will be as easy as you might think. Maybe like 42-38 Saints.

I'm from Texas. My friends ***** and moan about your OL all the time so that's mostly what I'm going by. Romo does a lot to make that line look better then it is because he moves so well.

Your run blocking hasn't been very good and Waters was a good player who you'll miss.

You are 13th in sacks (the difference between 13th and 23rd is only 3 sacks). That doesn't measure actual down by down ability to rush the passer.

Football outsiders has you guys as the 17th ranked defensive line.

The run the ball effectively is kind of not true. They just don't run the ball. Murray has 4 carries for 27 yards last week but the Cowboys ran it just EIGHT times. Ridiculous.

You average 3.6 YPC. That's not good.

The pass defense is true. They just get killed but elite QBs, and well Brees is elite lol so I expect the same thing.

I predicted 34-27, so I'm not sure how I'm thinking it'll be easy. It'll be a good game, although I wouldn't be shocked if the Saints blow it open. We tend to do that at home.

Admittedly, my post was a little generic. The point is you guys have plenty of flaws and oddly enough several of them mirror us in ways.
