ATL pulled an all-time coward move by not electing to go for it on 4th and 1 on NOLA 42 with only a 2 PT lead. (1 Viewer)

They played "not to lose" they did not "Play to win"

Trust me,

I'm a Saints fan, I know what that looks like!
Not over the last 16 years you don't... In fact some time too much swagger.. BUT I loved it every time because prior to 16 years ago that was us....

It actually makes no sense why they didn't go for it.

I am quite amused how terrible the Falcons are to be honest.

This is a good point especially after the ATL coach meltdown post game on the media.

He seemed to stress they could run the ball or wanted to prove them could on the saints and the media or whovever made us out to the be steel curtain or whatever he was blabbering about.

Running should have been a no brainer when you got 38 carries for 200 on the day.

He can hold that L close to his heart.

I thought they played it right. Now I did fear them going for it and giving it to Patterson. He was having his way with us.

But I do believe to punt was the right move..pin us deep and see if we can actually get in FG range.

Some you guys would be perfect coaches for ATL. Lmao.

You only punt in this situation if a FG would lead to a tie game. They punted the game away. It's not rocket science. It's being stupid conservative. Play not to lose will always lose you games.

When your in the 97th percentile of cowardly punts. I rest my case
It’s like letting someone draw cards for free in poker, i.e. a loser’s strategy.
