Video Awesome drone tour of the renovated Superdome. (1 Viewer)

Awesome video! :9:
I was on the floor of the Superdome for the Open House and I just couldn't believe the size of the roof over my head.
The Superdome has been the site of a lot of incredible history. Some good; some bad. (Some would rightly say 'horrible'.)
But I still get the same 'feels' when I approach the Superdome today as I did in 1975. 🥹
Bill your not that old!

That wasn't actual video. That was just renderings, as if a drone was flying through.

It is cool being on the floor. I did a high school championship game in 2018. It's so big. 2016 I was the clock operator for a championship game. You talking about high. You up there above the 600 section. Just crazy how big that place is.

Looks good. But looks like they still haven’t changed out the multi color seats in the loge end zone.

Sure looks different to me. Do they still serve lunch in there every day?

I used to work in the Entergy building many years ago. So I'd do lunch in the Superdome with coworkers at least once every week. We parked in the Superdome every day for work.

But I haven't been in it again since before Katrina hit. Sure looks different.

The inside of the Dome looks amazing.
It doesn't look like the same building... modern & new.

Very nice. I was in there the first event held a big Southern Rock concert when I was 14 and I was amazed. I have been amazed on every visit since too. My father did the final fire safety inspection of the Dome and walked the entire building inside and out. The next day he told us it is truly a wonder of the world.

The final piece that's missing a renovation is the field itself. Such a majestic building needs a field that pops. Coloring the endzones would do it, so simple and we've all been wanting it, I don't know why they've gone this long without it.

Now that the team is bad again, I doubt they change out the seats. They are ugly for sure.
Considering how much they put into the renovations, I just don't understand why they didn't replace the multi-color seats. Seems the cost would be negligible. The rest of the building looks amazing. It even looks better on TV.

I don’t think cost is the concern. The original intent was to make the place look not empty on TV Given the empty seats I saw this season, I think they once again serve their original purpose.
