NFL Baker Mayfield: “(My) ribs don’t feel too great right now.” (1 Viewer)

Nothing to see here. Just another opportunity for Baker to play the tough guy role. He’s fine.
Just building up a story. The TV crew will show HB’s hit on Mayfield numerous times during the game against the 2-14 Panthers as he “heroically” leads the Buccaneers to a victory over the rough and tough 2-14 Panthers. What a story and what a game for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers!!! :angryrazz:

NFL ticker screen quotes Bowles as saying Mayfield will be fine and will be the starter this Sunday against the Panthers. You guys nailed it!

As soon as that happened I had some evil thoughts about how our destiny was truly in our hands to close that game out. 😈

I bet Mathieu knew what he was doing. lol
You're not evil, and neither is Tyrann Mathieu and he's just a hard-hitting, tough, rugged, determined player.

But..if you're willing to at least temporarily join the dark, twisted side of mean-spirited, nasty, bone-crushing, cruel and vicious NFL sports-related ultra-violence, here's a jaunty, siren clarion call to embrace your mean SOB side...

These guys are pros and playing for their careers, they will show up to play, how much they have is another question they haven’t flashed much but anything can happen in a divisional game.

I had badly bruised ribs in high school. Thought I was good to go after a week or so. Took one hit in the next game and knocked the wind out of me. My point is... It only takes one good hit to send him back to the bench.
What kind of drugs did your high school have? Because the NFL has the good stuff. Ask Sean Payton and Joe Vitt.

Mayfield’s torso will be so numb he won’t feel much. He’ll also have on a flack jacket, I’d imagine.

lol well since this was the 80's...not much

The fact we have to rely on the worst team in the entire league to win a game they literally have no incentive to win (Chicago has the No.1 pick no matter what now...) is sad. This game will say a lot about both the Bucs and the Panthers integrity. I dont think Mayfields availability/health will impact that as much as we would like to think. If this Panthers team has any pride, they will put up a fight, however after what i saw vs a beat up/underwhelming Jags team last week, im not banking on it though.

There is only 1 game, imho, we should have won that we ultimately lost (vs the Packers) and right now its having a monumental impact on our playoff implications.

Don’t you mean Carolina has no incentive to LOSE?

I mean I don’t think they have a chance, however at least we know that they won’t be intentionally tanking.

We have seen stranger things occur. These guys are all professionals and they know darn well that the team lining up across from them is fighting for their playoff lives. They will respond accordingly and at least give them a good game I believe.
