Band Feuds (1 Viewer)

as i understand it, there is no bad blood between the bands...just some Exhorder fans got  that Pantera made it big....

i used to be friends with Jay Ceravolo's little brother when i was a kid....i remember Jay was the first 'metal' guy i ever met...i was probably 10 or 11....he scared the crap out of me :hihi:

Jay was like a big brother to me. Jay and Vinnie are two of the coolest Mo Fo's on the planet. I could see why people would be scared of Jay if you didn't know him haha....Exhorder does not get the credit they deserve.....true pioneers of metal. That band was metal in every sense of the word and took no crap from anyone!

buy that man a beer for me if you see him again. if i never have to hear Mother again, ill be a happy man. that song plays like a dozen times a night in The Dungeon, and after years of hanging out there i never want to hear it again.
Press play!! You can do it!! :hihi:

How about all the bands that become revolving doors of change ups before waiting a decade or two to do cheap cash in reunion tours? (The Who, Black Sabbath,

Also, no mention of Hendrix' bass player Noel Redding and all the feuding over Noel's bloated ego that led to the Band of Gypsys to the Experience hybrid band with Cox on Bass. Had Hendrix lived, that hybrid version of the Experience would have been amazing to hear in studio. Check out Live at Berkeley for a little taste of what could have been.

Of course the famous Beatles break up that no one can agree on whodunit.

All this talk about Metal yet no one has brought up the infamous battle of egos between Metallica and Megadeth? I'm actually glad they created a feud. Otherwise we probably never would have got Rust In Peace and Countdown to Extinction.

Can't forget about Guns N Roses either. In a way I am actually glad we don't have reunions and have to sit through Axl Rose's terrible voice anymore. Easily the most overrated singer in Metal.

Danzig's ode to Jim Morrison and the Doors "The End" :hihi:

I saw a documentary on Palladia about the Eagles. Near the end of the show, they were doing a concert and Glenn Frey and Don Henley were talking about how they were going to kick each others ***** after the show. You could hear it loud and clear--"**** you Don!! I'm gonna kick your ******* *** when this is over!!" :hihi:

I never saw what was so great about The Doors. The older I get, they seem like one of those passing fads that you grow out of. I'd argue they are the most overrated band of the 60's. They didn't even have a bass player for crying out loud! I remember listening to Morrison Hotel and thinking it was a waste of money even though it's cited by all these big shot critics as some landmark in mediocre albums.

Their competition the band called "Love" was bloody brilliant and far more fun than The Doors. Sadly they are an obscure band today that seems to be totally forgotten about, but their album Forever Changes beats the crap out of anything The Doors ever released.

Crap...I thought we were here to discuss the Jonas Brothers.

George Lynch & Don Dokken

George Lynch: Don Dokken Embodies Everything I Hate About the Business | GuitarInternational.com

George Lynch (talking about Don Dokken) :

He embodies everything I hate about this business. I have no respect for him and he can’t be trusted. It’s all about him.
I was helping run sound out at the Lakefront at Neo Beach back in like 1990. LynchMob was playing one Fri or Sat night and George Lynch was the crudest, most crybaby, pain in the *** I have ever had the pleasure to meet. all that said.....he is still one of my favorite guitar players. lol what ya gonna do.

I imagine that the truth lies somewhere between Don Dokken and George Lynch...but to me,Don Dokken always seemed like a petty little diva.

Listened to an interview that Stewart Copeland did promoting his movie at Sundance a few years back. I thought the Police had a lot of internal problems, but listening to his interview he said pretty clearly that there were no bad bones among them. They still talk (well Stewart and Andy more than those two with Sting).
