What I see when Saldiveri does play is slow feet...
It might be because of his lack of playing time, he is thinking too much...
but if he doesn't move his feet better he will never be a good G in the NFL.

It's simular to what Penning went through. He was hurt almost all of his rookie yr , only had 18 snaps. And he had Marrone an abysmal OL coach that yr. There were a few that thought he would be starting LG this past yr but again injuries. only 344 snaps last yr. OL need reps to improve and if you;re not healthy enough to get them then you develop at a slower pace. I still have hopes for him

I’d prefer Will Hernandez at RG. Sure he’s recovering from a knee injury but he’s a dang beast!!!!

Indeed he was. Dude was about to get paid. All the articles keep saying that teams would probably sign him after June 1st, so it wouldn’t count towards the compensatory formula. I wouldn’t wait. I’d sign that guy before that bc when he’s on the field, he is a force

Going into the draft without one could be too risky.

Certainly, you would want a solidified guard. The last thing you would want is a liquid or gaseous guard, especially a gaseous one.

So that is why the top unsigned OGs left aren't being signed by teams.
We probably aren't signing a LG until after June 1st...
Our FO doesn't want to lose the 4th round & probably a 7th round extra pick next year...

Possibly. Every article I’ve read on Hernandez states that, but it also could be bc he’s recovering from his injury still. Not entirely sure but it wouldn’t surprise me, if that’s the reason why some guys are still unsigned, and may remain unsigned until after June 1st

There's also Brandon Sherff. He's a little older but he's still pretty solid. He would be a good stop gap for a couple years until if we draft a Guard and get him up to speed. Someone mentioned Saldiveri earlier. I went and looked at what position he played in college and he played as a RT and RG. With him being injured the last two seasons, he may need more time to develop at LG since he hasn't played that position very much. I believe he's more suited to the right side.
