A pretty good article on the Bengals and what they hope to work on before the Saints game.

...Among some of the things that the team will work on before facing the Saints are improving their pass protection and improving tackling.
Offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski was happy with the team’s run protection on Friday but he has reasons to be concerned about pass blocking. During Saturday’s mock game, the pocket quickly collapsed on Carson Palmer, forcing an interception. Things weren’t better with the second unit as J.T. O’Sullivan was often on the run to either look for an open receiver or scramble for yardage.
“The thing we have learned is that we believe we can be a good running team but the thing we still need to find out is if we can pass protect on obvious third downs,” offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski said. “We’re not really as sharp as we need to be.”

Remember how we bloodied Carson Palmer last year in the preseason...they will have a little extra motivation, more than a normal preseason opener anyway. LIstening to them interviewed on Sirius the other day multiple players (especially O linemen) kept bringing that up.

I wouldn't be opposed at all to Drew just making a cameo and taking a very quick spot next to Payton on the sideline.

EDIT: Thanks for the visual to go along with my post! Ha!

I agree, I wouldn't mind at all if Drew didn't even take a snap. Let him warm up with the team, throw some passes on the sideline and just put on a headset and pick up a clipboard once the game starts.

Who cares? It's preseason. I hope to see the backups do well and find the RB who can get consistent positive yardage.
