With that defense being soo bad! It doesn't make much sense to me to franchise Tee again and allow your best player on defense to go.

I get that he's 30 now, but he's still got a couple good years left in him.

Wish it lined up for us to right the wrong, but he doesn't really fit our scheme if we're going to a 3/4.

He's on the last year of his contract, is 30 years old and they might get a better draft pick in trade than they would a comp pick. A team with cap space looking for a one year rental at DE will throw might go for it, but it shouldn't be us. The Bengals won't just cut him though. His contract is structured perfectly to let expire and get that comp pick next year if a team won't give them a 2nd or better. I wouldn't be surprised to see the Commanders or Lions go after him.
