Bill O'Brien Rips into Former LSU WR Kayshon Boutte (Explicit Language Used) (2 Viewers)

Been wondering what was behind the huge disappearing act for this guy. Sounds like attitude / work ethic?

I would say he's the Jamarcus Russell of WRs....but at least Russell showed up at LSU. Boutee started acting like a diva WR who just got his first big contract before his last year at LSU.
He really needs a coach to tear into him and knock him down a few notches. He needs some humbling.

Being that he was a 6th round pick with no salary guarantee and only a187K signing bonus, BB will drop kick him to the curb at the first sign of whatever went down in OTA's happens in camp starting next week.

Boutte was garbage. Hyped up to be the next great and did nothing.

Had a stretch the last few games of his college career, but I'm assuming his motivation was to get paid.

He's lucky he was drafted. He will be out of the league in 5 years

I think Boutte makes the team and could develop into pats #1. With that being said it’s clear he thinks he is better than he is for whatever reason he could not catch a cold when J. Daniel’s was throwing. Maybe the spin? Seem to be better with Nuss but not to his potential. Hope he tightens up but Bill O’Brien is not going to be the guy that changes his career path.

Sorry to again criticize Derrick for posting content from junk clickbait sports media, but...

(1) the tweet Derrick posted has been deleted (wonder why?)

(2) Here's a NESN story that says the "claim was unwarranted", and, quotes some veterans saying coach should build up guys, not tear them down.

Derrick and anyone who starts threads, please find legit, qualified sources of information you start threads from.

No of course you don't have to do what I ask, but reliance on clickbait wannabe sports media just dumbs down this site. That's my opinion.

OK, someone please help me with this:

The tweet says that KB was once ranked 2nd in his recruiting class. What recruiting class? Coming out of HS? That's a pretty meaningless point to make, if so.

Am I missing something that the tweet's author is trying to get across?
He was thought of by many in CFB to be the best receiver prospect in the country going into his junior year.

He developed a serious diva persona though and never lived up to that. Hopefully he gets his 💩 together.

And you don’t want to get on the bad side of a coach with an ego that doesn’t justify his below average coaching ability.

Cue the LSU fans saying the quote was inaccurate because “LSU is the 33rd NFL team!”
Cue the LSU fans that have been disappointed with Boutte. Some of us didn't like his work ethic and wanted no part of him on our Saints team. He's a fast, strong guy but doesn't have the finesse or the right mentality to be a consistent player. Poison, stay away.

Well, I'm looking for those LSU fans showing up to defend LSU's honor and star player. Where are they? I think they're imaginary and always have been.

I dont see how Boutte lasts 5 years. That might be 5 years longer than he actually makes it. If I had to bet, he wont play a down in the NFL. I dont even see him making a practice squad. He has no want in him. Feels like USFL/XFL for a year and never heard from again.

I hate to see players regress for any reason. Boutte was incredible towards the end of his freshman year and hasn’t been even close to the same since that…..I’d say he still has a chance to have an NFL career but he has to turn it around and overcome whatever caused his regression….quickly…..
