Every clickable (read: non-paywalled) story I can find doesn't seem to contain any firm reason he'd have for appealing for another year of eligibility. This is in contrast to Diego Pavia of Vanderbilt, whose case for another year (which has been temporarily granted, btw) was based on his juco experience. He was claiming his juco years shouldn't count the same way his NCAA years do.

So far, I don't see where McCord seems to have a case to return to Syracuse. In any case, he's only a mid-round draft pick right now AT BEST.

Granted, I'm not a professional scout or anything, but that pick makes absolutely zero sense to me. Jaxson Dart is looking at like a 2nd round pick at the absolute earliest as of now and more then likely a 3rd or 4th round pick (that of course could change with strong Senior Bowl showing and combine) but he looks miles ahead Cade Klubnik.

Juwan is a guy (along with MVS) I'd love to keep under an otherwise new regime.....but the dynamics of player movement make it unlikely. Johnson has some serious untapped potential as an "F" (the newfangled term for a hybrid TE/WR). He's had some injuries, though, and of course some tepid-at-best play at QB since he's been here.

JJ has had some pretty bad drops over the last couple of seasons as well. He's really underperformed imo. He's got talent, but his execution has to get better and more consistent.

He's precisely the kind of player who'd go to another team and excel (with a likely better QB, of course). Hope to not see that happen!

I agree he has been doing this for 5 seasons. He will never be a difference maker. If anything he is a liability on the Field. It's important N.O Move off of Morneau and JJ
