BOLD PREDICTIONS Week 9: Saints @ Panthers (2 Viewers)

Does anyone really understand the purpose of the thread? It's BOLD predictions. Win, lose, etc. is not what this thread is about.

I started doing this thread because at times, people will claim "I told you so" to some crazy thing like "I told you Prentice would score 3 TDs". Well, if they post 10K times a week, maybe they got it in. I was hoping to start a thread where we pick a highly unsual outcome and EARN the right to say "I told you so". An opportunity to put that crazy prediction in front of us and truly earn that right.

My pick this week is that Mason Tipton scores on a 60+ yard TD pass and goes for 100 total receiving yards. I didn't pull that out of the sky. Carr was having a good season with the long ball to Shaheed. Well, Carr is back, but Shaheed isn't. Tipton has been getting some play. I see Mason getthing that "shot", thus the reason for my bold prediction.

I also encouraged people to make funny predictions that couldn't possibly happen, but if it was outlandish and good for giggles, that would be great too. The whole idea was to get away from the mundane, unfunny, hateful and repetitive threads that are dominating the forum. Maybe a thread like this just isn't wanted here.

I can see that. There was a play last week where that could have happened if Rattler sees the field better. I don't think Carr misses that.

I honestly think we lose. I really do, and we will officially hit rock bottom
Nah. Right about now is when DA gets one of his "save my job" wins. You're thinking about the following week where we...well I'll save THAT for next week's bold prediction.

Saints will continue to use the Pete Carmichael playbook by running Kamara up the middle for a yard, refusing to use Taysom Hill, running sweep plays to the short side of the field, and repeatedly throwing passes 5 yards short of the 1st down marker on 3rd down.

DA will say "there's some things we need to clean up" in his post game press conference

Mickey Loomis will say he has confidence in DA after Saints take over last place in the NFC South

Derrick Carr will spend a huge amount of time running away from defenders and being sacked

The Saints will throw a WR screen to Olave with absolutely no one blocking out front for a 3 yard loss, because that play always works in practice.

At least 1 DPI for substantial yardage on the Saints.

In other words, the usual DA coached team

The Saints will win on Sunday... simply because they don't want to have the #1 pick in next year's draft.

We're favored by 7.

Bold prediction: Panthers are gonna beat us by 10
