New Read,

I explore the potential for Cam Jordan's bounce-back season in 2024 and how his performance and a healthy Chase Young could elevate the Saints' defense to new heights. Enjoy!!

Cam's at the end. He'll be an incredible leader in the locker room but he's 34 going on 35 and has an incredible amount of wear on his body that's really starting to show. Anything more than 4 sacks to me would be an accomplishment at this point in his career.

Agreed. Hope Cam plays for as long as he wants but I don't expect much of a bounce back. Saints have been trying to draft his heir for years but failed (couldn't hold onto Hendrickson and whiffed on Davenport and Turner). Maybe we see Cam rush from the inside on passing downs some? I think that would be a good spot for him.

He needs to be on a pitch count and used situationally, IMO. Also, we should probably stop using sacks to measure his performance. His best contribution at this point will probably come in run support and using his uncanny ability to diagnose screens and misdirection, not exploding off the ball and bending around tackles like he once did.

One can hope. It would be nice to see him get 2.5 to get up to 120 sacks for his career or even better 5.5 to which would put him into the top 3. He needs that force on the other side like Dav was so Cam can just jump on the QB while his fleeing the other side or jump on a QB who is on the ground that was forced there because of the pressure. Those are actual examples of a few of Cam's sacks from Dav's last year in the Black and Gold.
