"Beginning in 2025, the NFL can schedule up to eight league-operated international regular-season games per season."

So in theory, every team could be scheduled to play one of these games every other year. Since we played in London in 2022, there have been 16 different teams that have played regular season games outside the US, so the law of averages would suggest it will be our turn in 2025, or 2026 at the latest.

Another London game would be fine for me as it's only 2 hours away, but I fully appreciate the majority of our fans won't be happy!

I don’t have an issue with international games. I do have an issue with some teams having an away (international game or not) as the 17th game and other teams having a home game as the 17th game.

I think we should play eight home games eight away games and the 17th game should not be at the teams home stadium. Play the game somewhere within the home region. Tiger Stadium, Vaught-Hemingway, Davis-Wade, Independance Stadiums for example. There may be something else in LA, or maybe South AL or South AR. Or East TX, lol.

MS Vet is big enough but needs major upgrades. It hosted a couple of preseason games in the 90s. The general consensus is it should be torn down with JSU getting a smaller but modern on campus stadium and the land given/sold/transferred to UMMC.

Either way, teams with 9 home games have an unfair advantage.

I’d think the Canada and Mexico are much better targets than Europe, even though our stupid/criminal (how can you say you’re for player safety when you continue to add more games and then schedule games like these stupid Thursday night games. we should play two maybe three games on Thursday on Thanksgiving that’s it ) league commissioner is dead set on European expansion being part of his legacy.

I live four hours from the dome and I’m a public school teacher so attending games isn’t easy for me so it won’t affect me as long as I can get it on TV

Give me a Saints game in Paris, please.

1. It's the cheapest European City to fly into.

2. Our logo, not the Saints logo, but our logo is the fleur-de-lis.

3. The Saints do hold the NFL's exclusive marketing rights in France.

4. Of all European cities, the Saints playing in France just makes sense.

Pretty sure the goal is similar to what you are saying but that the 17th game will be international. To avoid the fatigue of 2 random teams playing at a random foreign stadium every week, they are trying to forge connections for each team to specific markets. Ours would be France.

Just too much common sense involved in all of that, my friend, to ever come to pass. I like it, though! (y)

It will probably be in France: https://www.neworleanssaints.com/ne...nternational-marketing-global-markets-program

Counting as an away game doesn’t really matter though. Some teams will play actual home games.

That’s unfair for multiple reasons. Two big ones are the players get to sleep in their own beds and you get your home crowd.
