Brace yourselves for an "international" game next season (3 Viewers)

Give me a Saints game in Paris, please.

1. It's the cheapest European country to fly into.
City- but yes ;)

you can get a flight out almost any upper East Coast major hub for dang near same cost of a domestic 3 hr/1500 mile flight. its crazy.

Dangit! Good catch. But yeah, as soon as New Orleanians realize that it can as cheap or even cheaper to fly to Paris than Seattle, San Francisco or Hawaii, I think it's going to be an easy sell.

Plus, it's Paris. After New Orleans, my favorite city. Don't get me wrong though, Londoners are great too, but Paris reminds me of home. And I don't mean my currently living environs.

So, if you are season ticket holder and you lose a home game so your team can play internationally, do you see your season ticket prices drop by a game?

Asking for a friend.......
Yeah.
You pay the regular amount. You have first dibs on international tickets. If you don’t buy, you get credit for the next season.

I have a feeling that "credit" for next season is like the phrase "free beer tomorrow."............
The price of the international ticket rolls over into next year and gets deducted off next season’s total.

2. Our logo, not the Saints logo, but our logo is the fleur-de-lis.

3. The Saints do hold the NFL's exclusive marketing rights in France.

4. Of all European cities, the Saints playing in France just makes sense.
And it'll be hilarious to hear Deuce and Bobby pronounce things in French!

Im not sure we get one. Since 2022, they pretty much have focused on divisions. If the NFC South hosts the AFC South for the 17th game, the NFC North has the Lions left while the NFC South has the Falcons(they hosted in 21 though before this rule started). They're going to delay the Cowboys as late as they can so Giants and Commanders are up in the NFC East. I think Cardinals MNF game in 22 might count, so that leaves the other three. Seattle has yet to have a home London game, and the Rams have had three already since 2016.

We know Jacksonville will get a home game. Their options are Jets(which I don't see), Rams, Seahawks, Chargers(another I don't think happens), and the Chiefs. Houston and Tennessee also, as they already hosted the Colts. It won't be the Chiefs because NFL will not want KC to go overseas with their primetime and late afternoon slew of games. So I think it's Seattle. And if that's the case, we dodge a bullet. But if not, I think SF is first in line to go to London from NFC West. If Jacksonville has another "road" game, it could be SF, Denver, LV, or Cincinnati. Arizona and we already hosted.

So if we go overseas, they would have to schedule Seahawks or Rams for a home international. I really do not think they would have us and Atlanta play because who do you think that gives an advantage to?

If we did go play LA or Seattle in Paris, it might give us a neutral advantage over the Bucs. I don't see either of us winning in LA nor Seattle.

Might not be a popular take but I love the London games. It’s a great place to go for a game and they have developed homegrown, true, Die-Hard, rabid football fans in the UK. The Brits by and large are friendly and fun even if their food is not so fun. As for Paris, please no!!!

I always thought the French were rude and hated Americans but it turns out if you get outside of Paris that’s dead wrong people are friendly, fun and unlike the Brits their food is wonderful.

My attitude on Parisians has changed a bit after the anti tourist movements this past summer in Spain. I kind of think it’s not so much that Parisians hate Americans as much as it is Parisians probably don’t care for visitors, which I can understand considering the hoards of people that descend on Paris every year. That said Paris is not a welcoming place.

If the true goal of this is brand expansion the NFL would be better served sticking with England and spreading more and more into Germany. NFL football is big in both countries. It won’t be on the level of soccer or even NBA basketball but there’s a good base to build on, strong youth American football programs and general interest. Like others have said as well the NFL should be targeting Canada as well NFL is already huge in Canada but they should get some games sent their way as well.
