He’s a run first snd often kinda guy. Not what we need.

That's the issue with any DC who becomes HC. Who is your OC, and what is your offensive philosophy? HCs with defensive backgrounds typically want more ball-control offenses. Although, Quinn did bring in Kliff for his OC.

Hope he's not going to use us as a tool to up the offer from NE.... I'd like us to have a real shot at him... He's definitely on my short list.

Yeah, I agree. I don't care to get another defensive coach and why I'm not high on Glenn, but Vrabel I'd be more excited about.

That said, I'd prefer a Ben Johnson or Joe Brady type if possible, but I'm sure those aren't likely.

Oh that's definitely what we need, though Kamara is not that kind of back. If you're going to be a defensive team, the offense has to run out the clock.

Funny thing is, we were very much heading that direction in 2017 with Ingram and Kamara. Brees only had 3 regular season games with 300 or more passing yards, even though he started all 16 games.

But I've always felt that when Ingram got suspended the first 4 games of 2018, and with Brees showing that he could still be Brees even at that point in his career......we just never fully went back to that style of offense on a consistent basis.
