In light of the ending against the Falcons, I remembered this ending against the Panthers in the 2011 season and Saints taking a knee at the Panthers 10 and still leaving time on the clock. But you can tell the SP had to be convinced. Check the 4:27 mark:

They took a knee because they had poured it on the alcons :ROFLMAO:

Also in that same highlight video, Payton is telling Brees that Sproles if 4 yards shy of the all time All Purpose Yardage record and they're gonna get it for him.

We will be lucky to find another coach like him.

Ron Rivera was pissed after that game. Newton's first season.

Which let's me know that he probably would have been OK with that TD, ESPECIALLY against the Falcons..lol

Ron Rivera was P'Oed after that game. Newton's first season.
Actually, give it a listen as RR told SP that it was very classy of him to take the knee there.

Crazy thing - the next year the Panthers used this game as fake motivation that the Saints ran up the score when this video clearly shows differently.

But all in all, maybe taking the knee where the clock does not run out and giving the ball back is more of a slap in the face than anything!
